I read on another site that at one point last season Housley literally had his hands around Jack's neck he was so fed up with his attitude. Guy who posted claimed to have a source in the room.

I agree, would love Cozens. He is a 200 foot player who has the speed and hands and will go to the dirty areas and along the boards to fight for pucks. He has a bit of a nasty streak in him too. The question is if Detroit gets the 3rd pick do they take a chance at Podkolzin or go for Cozens. Cozens is listed as a center but I think he plays wing in the NHL, mostly because of his tenacity along the boards and fighting for pucks and creating chances.

We need more of a physical presence in the forward group, guys like Cozens would help. If we get the 5th pick, for example and Cozens and Podkolzin go 3 and 4, I would not go for Byram but I would want Turcotte, Zegras and Boldy in that order.

We're still at "rebuild" so it can't be another one. but something is clearly wrong. 4 years of Jack and nothing is improving. rumors circulate that he's an A-hole, so maybe that's the teams problem. If we have a chance at getting another legit 1C, it might be worth considering cutting ties with a team built around Jack. I'm just saying all options should be explored, I wouldn't consider him untouchable any longer if we get Hughes.

hypothetical, call NYI an offer Jack for: Barzal, Eberle, and Boychuk... would you do it? reset this team with Hughes, Brazal, and Mitts as our centers, and Boychuk, Dahlin on D.
