That with how underwhelming Mittelstadt has been, we were still a one line team last season. The drop off offensively at 5 on 5 wasn’t significant

This is skewed because O’Reilly obviously got a ton more defensive minutes where he wouldn’t have scored.

But it just shows that ROR was not the player he is this year, here.

It would’ve been more or less the same if we kept him.

Goaltending has been 2x the issue than missing him as a #2 center

-Don’t win another game and virtually guarantee a top 5 pick.

-Montreal falls short of the playoffs by a point and the city loses its mind as it goes without the playoffs and a top 5 pick this year in a season in which they were supposed to rebuild.

-Leafs loss in round 1 again this year and after all the smack talk they still haven’t won a playoff series since the early 2000’s.

They still suck.

I'm not really concerned with Russia factor with top picks. If they're the best, they want to show it. My concern is with the player himself and what he's shown to this date. Also, the question needs to be asked, I suppose, will you accept playing the AHL to acclimate to NA, or are you going to pull some bullpoop like Valeri Nichushkin, where it's NHL or (frank) you.

He seems like the most volatile guy in the top 10. Scouts are all over the place on him.
