Magic number I believe is 2 points now for leafs to clinch. A combination of habs loss or leafs win.

It would be fun if that last game of the year means something to the Habs

I was hoping they won last night. Just so the Leafs could end them on last game of the year...

Would have been awesome. I already have a bet on the game, unless it is meaningless.

Leafs have given up the least amount of penalties and have had the least amount of PPs in the NHL this season.

I fully expect the refs to call around 8 penalties per game in the upcoming Boston series.

Just cos

You know. I don't hate the Habs anymore. I don't like them, per se, but I would like them to be relevant again.

They have a decent core that I can appreciate and dislike at the same time. Domi may have the world's best poop eat grin. It makes you want to punch him in the face. That's a gift. And he's a good player. He should not take faceoffs, though. He gets cleaned out more than a porn star's rectum.

If Auston Matthews could play as big as Gallagher thinks he is, he'd be the best player in the league. Who doesn't love to dislike Gallagher.

Drouin is skilled, and . . . lazy? Disaffected? But if he puts it together, he could be a very good player as well.

With Weber, Price, Shaw . . .they're a decent team. Granted, without a real driving centre on the team, they're probably not going to be a serious threat.

But no matter how bad they get, I will always love watching Ottawa lose.

I'm no pro scout but that Kotkaniemi looks like he could be a Kopitar type player

Totally agree with this, all of it. Never been a Drouin fan or Domi fan. Love Gallagher... hate the Habs.

If leafs lose 1st round against Boston and their powerplay is still garbage I would think they atleast fire whoever runs the powerplay.

I really liked what I saw. Especially earlier in the year before he was a bit worn down.
He has a lot of skill and creativity. I think he's too small to be Kopitar, but I could be wrong there. One of Kopitar's assets aside from his creativity and skill is his ability to shield players off because he's over 220. I doubt Kotkaniemi ever gets there, being listed at 184 (seriously? He looks like he's 12!), but he's shifty, and clever, so who knows?

True, but he's also 18 years old at this point so I wouldn't be surprised if A) he weighs more than what he is listed at online and B) he'll gain a good chunk of weight over the next couple of years (though I don't ever expect him to get to 220 unless he develops a mean Finnish beer gut)

time will tell

Just 1 point.

Any point earned by the Leafs or not earned by the Habs means we are officially in the playoffs.

Magic number for the Bruins to finish second is 4 or 5 - because 1st tiebreaker is ROW, and the Leafs and Bruins are currently tied in that column.

Anyone watch that choke job by the Jets last night?

Give the Isles credit, but holy poop, it was a collapse of Leafian proportions.

I can't take my eyes of the Metro division race - it's cray-cray.

That's what pissed me off about the loss to Philly more than anything.

There's still doubt in my mind that they can (frank) this up somehow.

It's funny what a Vezina level performance can mask.
