Buffalo is the most self conscious sports town in the world. The guy spoke truth, just like ROR and countless others. Buffalo fans are kind of the worst. They will turn on you and run you out of town and then when that player speaks up, they get all bent out of shape and defensive. Being a player in Buffalo is like being in an abusive relationship that doesn't end once the relationship is over. - MCGUIZZY
Except he absolutely sucked here and deserved all the crap we threw at him. He wasn’t any good. At all. |

I meant Rich Millennials Athletes.... I mean no harm by it, it is what it is. Athletes and a lot of Millennials that I know have a sense of entitlement to them. Its like "how dare you boo me no matter how poorly i am playing" That poop just don't fly with me.. I hate the way that generation is and it really started with My generation so I guess I am to blame.
It started with the participation trophies. No losers everyone is a winner... - hehateme

Some of us get it.
This town is riding a 100-year inferiority complex the second the World's Fair in 1902 ended. |

The funniest part is how those type of responses only make what you said more true. |

Well there you go, you got beady on your side so you must be right. How dare I comment on a hockey player saying things about the hockey team I follow on a hockey blog? |

It's more the irony of what you said in response to his claims.
Buffalo is full of inferiority complex, insecure, drunk, miserable people. Not everyone is, but the majority of the population is. |

a lot of former Bills players Don't agree with you.... And I don't either! what we expect is effort, when we don't get that than you get the booing and turn on them because we expect them to work as hard as we do in WNY. |

So? Then what I’m saying should be expected. What are we all supposed to do? Somehow turn into mellow dudes like Californians or uncaring sports fans like Floridians? We are who we are. At least we’re not yinzers. |

"Nygard, a 26-year-old left-shot winger, is having a strong season for Farjestads of the SHL. He sits 3rd on the team in points (35), and is leading the charge in goals (21).
He didn't just come out nowhere. Last season he finished tied for 3rd in team scoring with 34 points, and the season before he put up 29.
I don't imagine he'll come overseas and pile up the points but if he can take the top off of defenses with elite speed, and score a few goals along the way, he could be a useful bottom-6 forward.
At Nygard's age, teams only have to commit one-year on an entry-level contract so there is no risk involved. It can't hurt for the Flames to give him a look."
Who dis? - jochfr
Whoa, easy on the slurs there, Chooch. How'd that get past the censor anyway?

You should consider moving to a more progressive place.
I hear Austin Texas is fabulous for the younger folk.

I remember the post lockout Sabres. The Drury/Briere days. The fans were NUTS! Just as many people outside the arena as inside. Everybody talking about them. We’re not “sad sack” fans, we’re knowledgeable fans. We root for hard work and winning attitudes and hate loafers and losers. Why does that make us depressed, loathing losers? Buffalo people are who they are. We love winners. We’re tired of losing. I’m not sure why that makes us some sort of outlier in fandom. Lots of former players stay here permanently, in Buffalo, when they can literally move wherever they’d like. Why is that? |

she also ordered 20 cases of sauce for that night, but for some reason, the event got scraped - homiedclown
