a lot of former Bills players Don't agree with you.... And I don't either! what we expect is effort, when we don't get that than you get the booing and turn on them because we expect them to work as hard as we do in WNY. - gordong
Oh please dude you act like you wear a hard hat to work everyday. That whole "blue collar" mantra is so played out. I want good players and good teams not a bunch of whites dudes that "bring their lunch pail to work" |

Why do you have to bring color into it.
Didn't you literally just rag on The Clown for a sexist comment, which was a reach anyway.

I meant Rich Millennials Athletes.... I mean no harm by it, it is what it is. Athletes and a lot of Millennials that I know have a sense of entitlement to them. Its like "how dare you boo me no matter how poorly i am playing" That poop just don't fly with me.. I hate the way that generation is and it really started with My generation so I guess I am to blame.
It started with the participation trophies. No losers everyone is a winner... - hehateme

I remember the post lockout Sabres. The Drury/Briere days. The fans were NUTS! Just as many people outside the arena as inside. Everybody talking about them. We’re not “sad sack” fans, we’re knowledgeable fans. We root for hard work and winning attitudes and hate loafers and losers. Why does that make us depressed, loathing losers? Buffalo people are who they are. We love winners. We’re tired of losing. I’m not sure why that makes us some sort of outlier in fandom. Lots of former players stay here permanently, in Buffalo, when they can literally move wherever they’d like. Why is that? - Khmylev
Nobody bothers you and you can live like a king for very little money? Sure it snows real bad a couple times a year, but no earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, mud/landslides, water shortages from crippling droughts, or wildfires.
Edit: I know, I know, but I wasn't being sarcastic. |

Great point (not)
Our offense wasn’t good enough last year either
That’s why we needed to ADD to O’Reilly,
and not just REPLACE him
But we traded him,
and this season we suffered bc we didn’t actually improve the offense at all
And don’t act like Mitts didn’t underperform
Come on dude - jdfitz77
I'm of the firm belief that we should've kept O'Rielly and added just as you said. We would've had a one more year looksie. I also think maybe we could've gotten equal or a lil better selling him as a rental, or sign n trade this year.
Imagine the wonderful problem of slotting the top 6 anywhere in the top 6 and getting production. That in itself puts Casey on line 3 and the 4th line set as this is actually the 1st year I like Larsson's play. Girgensons another casualty of misuse and bad coaches. I believe under Q, Torts, V, he would've grown into a solid 2nd liner.
If we had ROR I think we would've been enjoying some much better hockey as players slotted higher than their talent would've been properly slotted. We would've gotten to see hockey like we haven't seen since my hair was brown.
L1 REINHART-EICHEL - SKINNER, L2- OKPOSO - ROR - RODRIGUES. L3 POMMER - MIDDLESTADT - SHEARY. L4- GIRGENSONS-SOBOTKA - LARSSON. I think that's better than have a Tage in the line-up.
Momma said "One person can change things for many others". I could've lived with 1 more year of ROR.
Everything that happens with the Sabres, my buck stops at ownership. Ownerships failed us, the people responsible for the payment of players and management.
When Ken Hitchcock was available we decided to stay with bargain basement ss kregies gm's and coaches. Thats been the consistency, coach in and coach out. And that's the result we got, basement hockey.
Terry's not afraid to make bold moves in his business ventures, a sports team should be no difference. If it's not good for the team let it go, go get the proven g.m. , go get the proven coaches when available.
If Wowwee gets another good ole Nichols try, I'll ..... I'lll........ |

Ryan O’Reilly on the 2018-19 Sabres
Scores his usual 50-60 points
Doesn’t help atrocious goaltending.
Wastes another year on non-playoff team
Value dips even more
Gets traded for a 2nd rounder and cap dump this offseason. |

His usual 50 - 60 pts would've helped, his value I believe would be equal to last year, and with playoff bound teams chomping at the bit for the #1 center's services, possibly getting a better return. Why? ror got traded for 1st rd pick and a maybe prospect. Taking the Berglund and sobotka contracts should've garnered a 1st rd pick in itself. GM Botts fault. If I was him I would've told st louis "if you want him you gotta take the bonus also, if not try again at the dead line where there will be more of a frenzy". BTW BOTTS STOP ALLOWING THE ENEMY TO PUT CONDITIONS ON PICKS. EXAMPLE: COLORADO GOT AN UNCONDITIONAL 1ST RD PICK AND HAVE A CHANCE TO DRAFT 1&2 IN THIS YEARS DRAFT.
YOU GOT A 1ST RD PICK WITH MULTIPLE CONDITIONS ATTACHED TO IT. |
