Olofsson would have helped when our season was not lost yet. Sustaining the goaltending we had the first third of the season would have helped too.

Overall its disappointing as a sabres fan but im happy they left some of these kids in rochester all year. Its too bad mittelstadt and thompson werent there all season tearing up the A and learning how to win like the young sabres of the 04-05 lockout

I hope Rochester can have a lengthly playoff run and all the young guys play a big part in it. I think the NHL experience was good for Mittelstadt and I hope that U.S.A throws him a bone for him to go play in the World Championships. Even if Mitts is a 13th forward just the experience of going would help him.

I think the point is that the Sabres would have to pay more for an elite player to come here than say a team on the verge of winning a cup...
