Podkolzin has shown he can be a superstar when playing against his peers but with his very poor stats with his club teams in Russia playing against men, and his rights being held by SKA St.Petersburg, that could be buyer beware with him in wanting to take his time coming over to NA.

held his own in the U20 tourneys, at 17
in the lower scoring VHL held his own quite well with MUCH older players
biggest knock, would be lack of continuity as we are basing his production on 3 games in this league, 12 in that, 14 in another league
just because he didn't click on 3 games in the KHL is no reason to think he won't turn it on in the NHL
