If Eichel was in Boston this board would wank off even harder then some of them do about Matthews in Toronto. I can’t defend his off ice antics, but on the ice I see an elite puck possession player who exits and enters the zone better then almost every NHL player in the league. He’s also an elite playmaker when he’s playing full go. Eichel is the least of our problems. If Eichel had Vanek and Pominville circa 2007 he would of put up 100 points this year. Roy benefitted from playing with his line mates, Eichel carries his line, big difference.

That's what people really fail to see. They are impressed by his 77 points in 74 games but fail to see the 29 other players who have scored 77 points or more all in front of him on that list. They make excuses for his attitude, his Derek Roy season.

I'm not being too easy on him and people think I mean him and Derek Roy are equal. Of the top-30 scorers, 1/3rd of them are on non-playoff teams. He is having a good season. But it is simply NOT impressive. Barkov, Huberdeau have no one behind them and they will both be over 90 points. Sebastian (frank)ing Aho has more points than him. Two of the top-5 scorers are on EDMONTON. Brad god damn Marchand is going to eclipse 100 points.

I don't care about the playoffs at this point, or the 10-game win streak or our record since the New Year. I care about Eichel's performance in 2019 and it simply is NOT impressive. He plays with no passion or heart. He can't lead Toucan Sam to a bowl of Fruit Loops, seriously.
