I thought the "planned" tank years were bad, but at least we all knew it was going to be bad. This team However takes the cake on sucking... Over the months of Feb & March they have managed to win an astounding 3 whole games in regulation out of 30... THREE out of 30, holy FRANK!!! How anyone keeps their job is beyond me...I never thought the Sabres were going to win the cup this year, however this roster is plenty good enough to compete for the last playoff spot...

I was looking at goalie stats and Hutton and Ullmark have struggled.

Hutton has the 40th best goals against average in the league at 3.02 and Ullmark is 46th with a 3.17 GAA.

This is not to lay the blame solely on them because the Sabres have problems throughout the lineup and the defense it crap, but our goalies need to stop more pucks.

Bills signed Quinton Spain, G, from the Titans. Sal had him as one of the two guards the Bills should pursue in FA. Excellent pass blocker. Fantastic rotational starter. Again, another guy for the OL.

Ed Oliver, Quinnen Williams or Rashan Gary, welcome to the Bills.

Jonah Williams on the OL would also be a welcome addition, but I believe the DL needs more attention than the OL, immediately.

They were never 1st place quality, I think they are better then their record shows as well. This team rides the emotional waves too heavily. The highs are too high, the lows are too low and that reflects in their play. Goaltending was brutal the last half of the season and they stopped getting the puck bounces. We are terribly coached and Botts didn't replace the hole O'Reilly left and it shows in our team depth. There are many problems with this team, however, there are pieces in place that can have this team complete for the playoffs as early as next season. Botts has his work cut out for him this offseason though.

What's actually funny is that we have no idea what place we need to be in to get 1 of the first 3 picks. Every year, there's jumpers. Toronto and Buffalo each won their respective lotteries as being the worst team in hockey, but Columbus and Winnipeg jumped up in 2016, Devils/Flyers/Stars all jumped up in 2017, Carolina and Montreal jumped up in 2018. If anything, statistically, we have better odds on being in the top 3, sitting at pick 4 rather than picks 2 or 3.

How (frank)ed is that.

I remember that, I thought that dude was crazy. I mean really, we were absolutely lucky to win a lot of those 10 games but coming out of that all we had to do is play .500 hockey and we would be in or at least competing until the bitter end for that final playoff spot.

That Dude has us pegged for sure, I was fooled....

Sabres can clinch 30th with:
- two regulation losses
-One devils victory
-Kings going 1-0-1 or better their final 2 games.

He's an after market free agent. Not like he's amazing. He's a solid rotational contributor. Fits the system well and is solid at pass protection. Keep expectations grounded. But it's a nice pickup.
