I’d be calling Edmonton trying like a bat out of heck to get a top 10 pick for Risto. Pick up Boldy/Caulfield and bid adieu to Skinner and that inflated contract that would look ridiculous in a few years.

This is Edmonton we are talking about here, also if they say no then we don’t trade Risto. It’s just an idea. This is the team that traded Matt Barzal for Griffin reinhart, Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson, Eberle for Strome then Strome for nothing.

Most likely scenario is we keep him. Next likely scenario is that he is moved for a roster player. Edmonton is desperate to improve quickly, moving a 1st for a RHD would not surprise me.

There are few definites in this world, but I feel quite definite...that there is no way on gods green earth Edmonton is trading a top 10 pick for Risto.
