The sabres are garbage but we have some blame to we just continue running people out of here payers etc
All that matters is the last 4 years - gerbe75pts
Tell us how the hell fans are able to run players out of town? Last time I check non of us are the GM or owners of the team. Also if the fans have any influence on getting a player or coach outed there are WAY bigger problems with the team... |

Samuelsson is still years away though
He’s got a lot of developing to do
Probably another year in college
Then a year or 2 in the AHL
Borgen & Dougherty will likely be the first defensemen call ups next season
Pilut seems like he’s here full time
Laaksonen should be in a Rochester,
at least to start - jdfitz77
I really haven’t liked pilot lately but then again, everyone sucks |

you know what's great? Having the lottery when the season ends instead of waiting a (frank)ing month. Landing between 3 and 7 will be a lot of discussion, which is nice, but winning 1 or 2 will be a little boring, after, you know, the excitement of winning.
I was at the Deuce when we won Dahlin. I screamed in some poor girl's ear. She was terrified. - TheSabresTaco
But what did you do after they won Dahlin? |

so the 850 regular season nhl games didn't really happen?
or the 158 playoff games?
he would have been here earlier but there was dispute between nhl and IIHF
bottom line he wanted to be here |

My buddy repeated that the "Berglund situation " was a big deal
Players were not happy with the way the Sabres handled it. I know you mentioned eichel calling berglund out, I didnt hear that part. (Not saying it didnt happen)
None of these guys wanted to see a fellow player lose out on millions of $. They all have families. Many of the guys put themselves in his position. Basically the fact that he became I'll. (Depression) and we cut bait instead of helping him.
Yes, I know he quit on his team. - Boss34
I call bullpoop. Lehner came out and said how much the Sabres helped when he finally asked for help. Why wouldn't the same management group help Berglund? No one, not him, not the PA, stood up and said "we don't like this, they're doing him dirty". No grievances were filed. |

Well, no, the bottom line is he stayed in Russia for 2 years, one of them being a lockout year. Plenty of Russian players were drafted before him and had no problems coming here, including the dude drafted right before him in Ovechkin. |

on Ovi, per wiki
"He was so highly regarded that the Florida Panthers attempted to draft him in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft in the ninth round, even though his birthday was two days after the cut-off (15 September 1985). Rick Dudley, the general manager of the Panthers, claimed the pick was legitimate, claiming that Ovechkin was old enough with leap years taken into consideration"

he came to the nhl
my question was how many russians picked in the top 10, refused to play in the nhl
I went back 20 years and found none |
