what does it say for morale of the team and and particularly any players a Kurasev, R Johnson, Hagel replace in the line up? Is Knott goingbyo be re-signed?
R Johnson did not dtess in second game. Could be for sny numbet of reasons........Carlsson scratch/injury or sick? With Holland and D Sikura too the Icehogschave an offensive make over - jhawk59
Some players are likely not re-upped after the season like Holland, Schroeder, Broadhurst, Campbell, Martinsen, etc. I would retain Knott and Noel. Both have another year on their contracts anyway. Still need some veterans so retain guys like L Johnson, Louis, and T Sikura who have 3-4 years experience in Rockford. |

The thing you have to keep in mind is GM’s talk all the time. When I hear that they are talking about someone like Malkin, it doesn’t necessarily mean that’s who they will end up with, but don’t be surprised if they end up with a Malkin type of player. |

Yeah roasted garlic is the best. Shove a bunch of cloves in a meat roasted in the oven also creates those nuggets of gold. |

E.R. ………..are you from Joliet? I was good friends in high school with a guy whose dad owned that place. He was a big Hawks fan, had season tickets. We're talkin' mid 1960's. Height of Hull and Mikita era. Don't think that place has changed much in all these many years. lol |

Get the feeling that the pitching is supposed to be better. Get the feeling that the glitter offense is not absolutely awesome, but pretty good. Get the idea that the bats will not often cover for the porous pitching. And starting to question not if but when Madden is fired.
I di not have a problem with daily different lineup. This is on Theo, actually, more than Madden. Madden has only so much affect on whether pitchers hurl or whirl the way they can. That is weak - hurl and whirl - but I will leave it alone.
Tonight could be a view of foreshadowing. Darvish pitched well for a while. Yes yes Atlanta is good. But flush another game down. |

Ever try chicken de John. Same idea as shrimp de john. Crumpled garlic on oven breast or deep fried chicken breast. I have it with angel hair pasta and light amount of a side of marinara sauce. Simon at Simon's, a very attractive Greek restaurant in Villa Park on Roosevelt & Ardmore will make it for you. I was a waiter there 1993. Nicely landscaped and outdoor patio too in warm weather. OMG the large dessert bar in the case at front counter. An upgrade of the Omega restaurants imho |

Given that the Hawks #1 pick is not going to be anything NHL ready any time soon, I would seriously consider Gus plus the pick for Trouba if someone could show me how he could be paid. - Return of the Roar
To paraphrase Milton Friedman - "there ain't no such thing as a free top-4 d-man". Re-allocation of cap space may be necessary if the Hawks are serious about upgrading the d-corps.
