LOL! You think you're actually getting the original "Original Recipe" north of the border?
Afraid not mon frères. It's like the Dutch only send us their skunky Heineken. Try one in Holland. It's a completely different beer.
And don't give me the "I got my KFC in the US". They spotted you a mile away there Dudley Do Right! - HawkintheD
Nope! I had on my MAGA hat, I spelled color without an "u" and i was packin', no way they figured me out. |

It was closed for a couple of months due to a major remodel, but the last new appliance went in 2 weeks ago...so I’m back baby.

Best fried chicken near me is Dell Rhea's Chicken Basket. I don't eat fried often, but this chicken is the best fried around. |

Just off Joliet road exit from I55, on a frontage road the cross street near it is Madison (think Madison street Hinsdale). They have a salad bar too. A couple great chicken choices I've had. A reputation and long standing restaurant. |

BIG HOCKEY NEWS ITEM
PERHAPS YOU SAW THIS EARLIER TODAY
THE DRAFT LOTTERY PICKS #1-15 to be drawn 7pm Tues April 9 in Toronto.
We will learn where we draft. Story on SCORE app gives percentage for top picks which we know we have a very slight opportunity to land the #3 overall if I recall exactly how lady luck could smile upon Blackhawks. |

Best chicken fettucine alfredo I've ever had was at a little hole in the wall place in Naplate Il (just west of Ottawa) named Casa Mia. The batter on the chicken is sublime. |

Just saw that Soupy mentoring Boqvist feature on team site.
YESSSSSSSSSSSS. Great vision by Soupy, the org and the London Knights to make it feasible. |

Hawks moved up to spot 11 last night. They really need to lose these last 2 games. The best they can draft at is spot 10 (which sucks because spot 9 to 10 difference is very large).

Yo, Paulie, put myself in the box for the instigator. I don't want Pittsburgh, Nashville or the Loafs to win. Okay with anyone else. |

Seriously he's finally figured it out. I only hope he stays healthy and doesn't hit a slump that will make him second guess his confidence. So far this team is slowly getting me excited about a baseball season that this team will play meaningful games being played in July and August. Hopefully into October. |

Vegas or Boston for me. Boston gets a nod ONLY because of Bergeron. Vegas because it will piss of a whole slew of people. |

Hence the trade chip to move up is.....[...........] & here is where it gets tricky
Because: Is trading our asset worth it (the player you draft is worth trading for)
Answer: does the player need to be #6 overall. Wiz said earlier that only the top six is difference makers (meaning top tier). Don't know if it remains a top six numerically today.
We all are agreed upon that the needs are one if not two top pair dmen
I submit that we do not have what it takes to acquire such. Everyone would like to get their offer in IF a top dman were available. Radical surgery on the roster if you buy a free agent dman. Oh btw is there really anyone worth buying?
Perhaps we just have to develop our own. I can suggest that with improvement in team defense - meaning Colliton enforces a system and our blueline crew is better than what we closed this season with - well maybe Keith too would perform closer to the level he once exhibited
I am not betting on Keith being tremendously better. I do expect one or two rookies will improve and contribute among the dmen. Each of the dmen can grow and mature if Colliton has a system which works and there is a nice blend of speed toughness and defensive responsibilty among the forwards on lines #3 and #4.
I am looking at that scenario and wish we could land a power forward with the compete nasty gene.
Surely there are a few names different posters favor Bowman to pounce upon. About all I would say here, do not trade down the pick and hence the quality player we pick is no where the quality of a top 6 choice. And do not spend a #1 on a goaltender.
Having said all this, I favor no trade if it is not getting us a player who fits well and whom looks to be an integral part of the future. Maybe this means trading for a #6 or no trade. Maybe the one trade.chip of value is someone a prospect (not Boqvist, though any time soon) could replace. You know our high scoring swede dman who would be changing address. Yes him who might prove next season to be not any better/somewhat better/most of the time no guffaw (you fill in the blank)
Bowman gambled and went after a very skilled dman in Boqvist. This draft (assuming he holds the slot) does he go after a power forward type. What if the top dman is still available? So you would then be trading our offensive whiz dman [Gus] for a larger size all around skill dman prospect. Does that dman play with an edge?
I want the power forward type. But only if it is maybe the top one or two rated forward. I am willing to trade Gus but not overly excited to do so. I would keep him and revisit possibly trading him next summer. My gosh it just depends upon if we could get the forward we want. I tossed in the idea about drafting a dman only because well we need a good one who has some edginess/size and perhaps Bowman likes that guy too.
