Didn’t Burke later say that Schenn was only available for 10 first rounders? - Nucker101
The fanbase did that's for sure. |

The Schenn legend grows.
It symbolizes everything that is wrong with this franchise. |

I haven't really seen many possibilities for taking on bad contracts from the suggested teams.
Unless you guys think Callahan or Marleau really want to play in Vancouver. Also, i'm not looking at taking on salaries for 3 or 4 years or in the case of Zeitsev 5 years.
It's a nice idea and all but i don't see many likely scenarios. I'd still sign Edler to the 2 year deal providing none of the fantasy scenarios play out. - golfingsince
Vegas has one year left of David Clarkson
LA has Mike Richards 1 year 1.32 plus 5 years left of under 1 mil cap recapture.

Clarkson's on IR, that's not cap space. Detroit and LA are below us in the standings, I doubt they're trading us draft picks for those salaries. |

The IR only kicks in after the season starts . They have to be cap compliant to start the season. |

They're not going to give up the farm for taking that on. It also really has no bearing on re-signing Edler. |

Games in March and April are garbage games with no real value. Games in October November and part of December don't matter because it is still early in the year and the good teams will rise.
I hope the fuk next year we get a schedule which tell us what games are okay to cheer for your team because they have value. Seems all the pom pom waiving has been for nothing. - VANTEL
It was also a little misleading for us to have played more games early in the season, on the fringe of the playoffs in the standings. The other teams catch up and we are out.
3 and 0 with Hughes, we'll be unbeatable for a whole season if he stays healthy. |

It could . It has been discussed on here before . Vegas with the Cap at 83 mil has like 10 dollars to spend and 6 players need to be signed to to reach a 23 man roster. William Karlsson needs to be signed also.
Colin Miller was scratch a few times . He is 26 years old . I think most would welcome him here. |

I’d rather trade up for the right guy than trade down for the wrong one. Boldy is a guy I’d aggressively pursue... Has the skill set of an ideal linemate for Pettersson/Boeser - if you thought the WCE was fun... - DrChristianTroy
I'd approve of Boldy being selected but the asset you would have to spend to possibilty move up, not sure it's worth it to this team right now. I'd say pick where they land for this year. |

I wonder how many times the 9 th or 10 th guy has been traded up or down? - VANTEL
Ottawa NJ cost Ott a 3rd to move up one spot.
Schneider for Horvat.
1st noesen silverberg for Ryan. 1st ended up being Ritchie |

Taking a huge chance... I think Boldy is elite. Also think guys available if we stand pat & select have massive bust potential. Well worth the trade capital to lock in our guy IMO... But I’ll wait ‘til the lottery results to obsess over draft board & slot movement. |

Schneider was not a move up trade . It was a hockey trade (sorry Vintsy)
Draft picks have been used in trades many many times. I was wondering how many times does a team use make a trade to move up or down ( first round)

I say bull sh1t. Tyler Madden was taken 68 th and now if redrafted he would be top 31.
Brayden Pointe drafted 79 th has 41 goals
The list is very deep of good players including Jett Woo who were not drafted the first second third of their respective rounds.
You need a good drafting team. - VANTEL
I always wonder why of all the expenses you have the Nucks would not try to have the biggest and best scouting department in the league. They went for hyperbaric chambers and "Air Canuck" when it was considered cutting edge. Why not have a commitment to having the best scouting system ? But then they put the farm team on the other side of the continent when most other teams seem to be moving them closer so maybe there is no grand plan. |

There's quite a few skilled guys. A bit less bust potential when drafting high skilled players these days. |

I’m probably the pickiest wannabe scout there is. My draft board is relatively tiny & I don’t see any of these skill guys as interchangeable options. |
