Schneider was not a move up trade . It was a hockey trade (sorry Vintsy)
Draft picks have been used in trades many many times. I was wondering how many times does a team use make a trade to move up or down ( first round) - VANTEL
My bad. |

LOL. Remember in 99 when Canucks send their #1 pick to the Thrashers for the no. 2 pick and a third-rounder. Player taken... Patrik Stefan.
Remember who we took?

Taking a huge chance... I think Boldy is elite. Also think guys available if we stand pat & select have massive bust potential. Well worth the trade capital to lock in our guy IMO... But I’ll wait ‘til the lottery results to obsess over draft board & slot movement. - DrChristianTroy
If we don’t change our pick range I’d go safe & take Soderstrom or Seider probably.
So much is unknown til the lottery & who drops to us. Those D if neither American slips & I have curiosity over a few others. |

I always wonder why of all the expenses you have the Nucks would not try to have the biggest and best scouting department in the league. They went for hyperbaric chambers and "Air Canuck" when it was considered cutting edge. Why not have a commitment to having the best scouting system ? But then they put the farm team on the other side of the continent when most other teams seem to be moving them closer so maybe there is no grand plan. - Tigersmyle
There is many questions about the Comets. The fan base is nuts and I love them. Cull might be gone after this season and I am not sure how far up the chain the blame goes.
I like the idea of dumping more money in drafting. |

Very strong argument for not trading up

- VANTEL
That's the only example of a 1st rounder for 1st rounder trade I can come up with and I had to look that up to be sure. Funny enough I think the canucks and thrashers are the only two teams to ever do it.
Lesson learned. |

I’m probably the pickiest wannabe scout there is. My draft board is relatively tiny & I don’t see any of these skill guys as interchangeable options. - DrChristianTroy
It's pretty much a BPA first round. |

RHD with 1st or 2nd and another RHD somewhere. Even out prospect depth |

My list is short also being not high on a few top 12 usually ranked on sites. Consolation prizes usually means like you said big bust potentials. That happens a fair amount over the years. I’m down with your views btw.
Atm my thoughts on draft levels are...
Hughes or Kakko-tough call for 1oa
Byram-although LHD the kid is droolable
Podzolzin-luv his moxy but a Russian idk
Cozens-bust potential
Dach-trade down type of pick, 3C ceiling
Boldy-my man
Turcotte-better than safe, Bo 2.0 or better
Zegras-intriquing & underrated, 2C upside
Soderstrom-hidden gem possible future top 2D
Seider-offense my only knock but enticing
Krebs-all around game & safe pick here
Newhook-could be a steal or bustish pick
Broberg-LHD good but not sexy or fit needs
Caulfield-if not a midget...
Mid to late 1st...

Good all around skills skating & speed.
I just don’t think he can wheel in the NHL like he does. My knock is temporay just a gut feeling if it translate into the pros. |

Whatever pick we end up with we MUST get it right. Must be a top 6F or top 2-3 RHD. That’s the expectation i have. |

ROGERS, Ark. — Two Arkansas men have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault after police say they shot each other while taking turns wearing a bulletproof vest.
The Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that 50-year-old Charles Ferris and 36-year-old Christopher Hicks were arrested Monday.
A police affidavit says the two men are neighbours and were drinking on a deck Sunday when Ferris told Hicks to shoot him with a .22-calibre rifle while Ferris wore the vest. The affidavit says the shot left a red mark on Ferris’ chest and that he was angry because it hurt.
The affidavit says Hicks then put on the vest and Ferris “unloaded the clip” into his back, causing bruises but no serious injuries.
Court records don’t list an attorney who could speak on behalf of either man.

Gimme top notch vision & hockey IQ over polished edge work if that’s the knock... Dude has great straight ahead speed for his size & will improve agility wise as he gets used to his huge frame. IMO he has very real 1C upside & the recent bandwagon of haters all seem to be looking for a reason to say he’s overrated. |

i trust JB to take whoever we need since his picks in the 1st round have all been pretty good. Virtanen was forced on him IMO and is a dud. McCann was and is better than JV and i believe JB was forced to keep this JV guy instead of McCann...
Juoloevi the jury is still out....
Boeser, Pettersson, Hughes, McCann, all solid first round picks... |

I would live with it if picked. Top 2C ceiling for me but still not on board yet. Somebody good will fall to us so I have my own preferences. Boldy Turcotte Zegras hoping 1 falls. |

For the love of god, you dumb (frank)ing hillbilly. This is how it went down back in Oct 2017 and then let's end this.
You and Lefty got into a pretty heated argument over some bullpoop. You said something, he fired back with some really vague comment about abuse.
And then that's when you went off with your 5 paragraph diatribe mentioning some personal stuff that I thought was inappropriate for this forum. I told you that. Then we took it to PM where I explained my perspective (which I posted earlier on here). I don't think it was too monstrous to ask.
I happened to title it 'Sob Stories' and you haven't let it go since. Now you accuse me of ridicule.
The end. Now (frank) off. - bloatedmosquito
So much for the denials about the sexual abuse narrative.
I'm glad I brought this up... I assume you've floated this narrative to others behind my back. Good to let them know that it never came from me. The end.

I’m basing this on Dach being the somebody good who falls to us... Those others should be gone. |
