Lassi is going to be amazing. Watched him a lot. Best player on the rockets this year IMO. - canucksfan1944

4-2 Van tonight. - LordHumungous
Nash still has something to play for, in their own barn... I’m going 5-3 Nashville. |

What would be worse for canucks fans ...the flames being good or the new Seattle team already being better than them ...at least the canucks have a chance at being better than Seattle right now - Redmile247
I may believe this more when Calgary can win a series against Canycks |

2-3 years ago and the way Bettman changed the rules so Vegas could compete right away I would have said maybe Seattle would have been better than the Nucks. But Seattle won't have a Pettersson, Boeser or Hughes so at this point I'll say no Seattle won't be as good as us. Seattle will have technically the same expansion rules that Vegas had minus all the back-door deals that McPhee had going to help Vegas out as well.
The fact that Vegas is exempt from the expansion draft is another Bettman joke. (frank) is that guy a tool. |

Man, I'm running out of people on here who will communicate with me. This team better get good quickly so I can go out and troll again.

I dislike Bettman's influence on the game as much as you but expansion is on the owners.
They just want to split half a billion dollars and took any deal to do just that.
Bettman's a tool but expansion (the number of teams and the rules on expansion) is the fault of greedy owners.
Expansion is their re-tool on the fly. BS to sell the fans so as to increase revenue. |

Meh, I’m sure some Preds are playing for jobs too. And the jobs out guys are playing for is the bottom 6 of a bad team
Division title > game 81 |

Part of the reason they’re exempt from the expansion. Plus, they came into the league a year ago, it’s not like they’ve been able to stock lots of players. Their success wasn’t expected, so hard to punish them for that. I would be pissed as an owner if I bought a team and then 3 years later had to lose someone to another expansion. |

Vegas doesn't need to worry about expansion, they will lose players to cap issues instead. |

More
Have confirmed Canucks/Comets plan to keep Mitch Eliot out of games. He will practice with team.
Reason for no games is CBA-related.
Basically, if he plays in a game this season, he'll be eligible for expansion draft in a few years. There's also a waiver eligibility component.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought this was an interesting post. I don't know much about this guy but have seen his name pop up a few times. I find it curious that Canucks are concerned about protecting this guy and he hasn't even played a game yet. Something to maybe keep an eye on next year. |

I was more meaning would it piss of Canuck fans if the flames moved to Seattle and Seattle already had the best team in the west while the canucks were rebuilding
As for winning a series against the canucks...what do Matt Stajan, Martin Gelinas, and Joel Otto have in common ?

The Flames aren't moving. You don't move a team with a season ticket base of high numbers...then again it is Bettman. Hee keeps a team in FLA and they can't put 4000 asses in the seats on any given night. |

Vegas should not be exempt anymore lol that’s a joke
I kinda hope Seattle goes through the proper expansion lulls ...teams like the coyotes and canucks have started over and are getting better and to have both Vegas and Seattle both come in to the division and be playoff teams ahead of them would be garbage IMO
Have they said who is going to the central division once Seattle is in ? Kinda looks like Vegas should geographically but why would you put them in the pacific then ??
Calgary and Edmonton are close but why split up that rivalry

All the pacific coast teams should be staying put which leaves Alberta and Phoenix/Vegas
Coyotes would be my guess now that I look at a map |
