I hate Benning.
The Canucks had all the leverage in the world as Edler seems insistent that Vancouver is the only city he wants to play him. F*cking Benning is such a pillow-soft pushover. - Marwood
Why can't they think outside the box? "Hey if we only give you a 2 year contract you'll have your 3rd year protection and we can re-sign you afterwards."

This is why I want Edler low balled... take it or leave it... most likely he leaves and worse case scenario is the Canucks get a smoking deal.
Edler has only recieved the best defenseman award twice and Bo, who has been the Canucks best and most consistent player all-season, doesn't get any award at all.
This is why you don't let idiot fans vote for awards. - Reubenkincade
Losers handing out awards?
Who's your coach of the year award go to? Newel?

I wouldn't give that up either, that's how I value him, but I'd only trade him if I could get him for less than what I value him at.
That coaching staff was a mess last year, even an elite talent like David Johnson was neutered in that offense so Rosen never really stood a chance. - Nucker101
I know, and the o-line was putrid without any other playmakers except for Johnson.
I've just heard too many times that Chris Grier (brother of Mike) wasn't fond of him last year. I like Grier, hated Tannenbaum and Gase should have had little say on the roster as a first time HC.

Last night I was writing about one of the gangs we use to war with in Toronto. On Halloween we were all dressed up like Clockwork Orange and we ran into on of our rivals "The Rat Pack" from Jamestown(projects downtown). They were dressed like the The Furies( the baseball gang in the warriors). It was an all out slug fest in Bloor Station. They had a couple of baseball bats and we had a bunch of canes... we over ran them and we ended up chasing them down both subway tunnels with their own baseball bats.

You live on the edge of our turf. We considered Young from Dundas to Rosedale Park and 3 or 4 blocks east and west of that ours. The street kids did not put up with the bullies, pimps and pedos that swarmed downtown.
If you remember the old theater at young and bloor that was abandoned, that was one of our forts. We also had an entire 3 story apartment building on the edge of Yorkville village as a fort too. Everyone just grabbed an apartment and put a fuse in the panel down in the basement and we had power. Police kept bricking the windows and doors which only made it more like a Keep because we always had upper level entrances or hatches in the roofs.

Cops eventually closed those down. - boonerbuck
Hard to imagine that now. Maybe I'm oblivious being a Vancouver Island boy in the big smoke....

Everyone tells me our turf has been pretty much rebuilt. No old buildings anymore. Regent Park ghetto is gone... thats hard to imagine.. those projects downtown being gone.
