So yesterday, it was argued that even if they Canucks were 100% healthy, they'd be still a .500 team because the health would only translate to 5 or 6 wins.
That would pretty much squeak them into the playoffs... especially if they won another game.
That argument is dead now. They are a playoff team when healthy based on the very argument made against it. |

Oh Regent Park is still a mess but is being gentrified so I guess its less poopty than your days.....
I believe the inspiration for Kim's Convenience is in Regent Park.... - chompsey
In the old days it was a classic American style ghetto right out of The Wire. Jamaicans/Caribbeans mostly. We didnt have a rival there but fights still happened occasionally. Congo was a gang leader all of Toronto kids feared. That was his kingdom.

No team stays 100% healthy in the NHL, this is not a playoff team. You can tell by looking in the standings over the past 3-4 years. - neem55
I guess you didnt read the debate. Of course no team is healthy 100%. It was hypothetical. lolz

I read it, it’s just kind of stupid. Hypotheticals have to have some basis in reality, a season without attrition is just not how the game/world works. |

So where was this lecture yesterday when it was presented in reverse? None of this was my hypothetical. My point is it flopped on its face.

cheap bastard still has yet to treat Makita and I to dinner, what makes you think he's going to host any event where the tab is on him. |

Last night I also wrote about my neighbourhood growing up. The dumb bullies I had to deal with. When I was 11 I'm delivering Canadian Tire flyers and these two older kids would always harass me for collection money(idiots like I said) and throw my flyers everywhere. One day I snapped...used my shoe as a weapon... ended up chasing them down the street with one shoe on and one them with a broken nose. A couple of years later I put a crew together and took Mosquito Park from them. Life became difficult for them after that. |

Im not going to read yesterday’s posts, im just pointing out how hypotheticals work. It has to be an actual potential outcome. |

By definition sure... but it is scientifically possible for a team to be healthy if you want go by definition then. Just extremely unlikely.

I keep hearing rumours that Edler is set on getting a 3 year contract and expansion protection.
Let him walk. - boonerbuck
Excellent, rather keep Edler over Tanev, although I'm not a fan of any NMC, NTC, but this team needs him at present. |

I don't like the idea of exposing another player in the expansion draft because of a retiring Edler needing protection.

I want the high pick but there's no replacement for kids learning to win.
Demko is really looking promising. I'm impressed. Just another good story coming out of the draft for the Canucks. Canucks crushed it in the youth department this season.
- boonerbuck
I don't think there is anyone in this draft that was worth throwing a season away for. |

If they sign him to 3 years with expansion protection I will have an epic freak out in here. - Marwood
Take a zen pill buddy, it will happen and there's no need to have an aneurysm, or a jammer, because you can't control Benning. |
