So, pointing out the obvious flaws on Brock, means I am in need of a whipping boy?
I have raised this topic several times this season, as I have some serious concerns about his poor decisions in the defensive zone.
I have also said, that he is a much needed player for this franchise and he drastically needs to improve his game in several aspects.
As I stated in a previous comment, Brock is not untouchable, when in comes to criticism on his obvious shortcomings.

He does have defensive lapses for sure.

I think people just find it a bit funny since Brock’s defense is like #143 on the “problems this organization has” list

Preach! Hutton blows

So you agree that he should’ve been sold to the highest bidder at the TDL then?

No, the language you are using. It seems like you are griping not pointing out criticisms.

Maybe they didn't want to sell low, they tried to raise his value.

This organization has problems? Lol

As a fan of this team, since 1970, I just thought this was normal.😁

More time for Patrick Kane to recruit him

This coming from the guy who says we overvalue our scrubs is kinda funny

He’s a pending RFA with a pretty sizeable qualifying offer attached to his RFA status. They have to offer him a 3M deal contract just to keep his rights or he’s a UFA with no trade value.

Easier to sell him at the TDL when teams want insurance for a playoff run or have injuries.

During the off-season there’s no injury woes and a GM can sign a depth free agent or 2 instead.

Anyways, we’ll leave it at that and see what happens. If he walks for nothing, I’ll just shake my head a bit and chuckle.

He is a odd man rush machine and it is always going the wrong way. How many teams do you think want to hitch their wagon to that talent.

See my edit. We’ll agree to disagree.

I said I’d the 5th or higher if possible/lucky rather than hold onto a dude who may not even get a qualifying offer.

That seems like common sense for a non-playoff team.

You disagree, that’s fine too.

Well that depends. If we were offered a 4th I’d say no and try again in the summer. If we were offered a 2nd? (frank) yes. I doubt we were offered much

Well some of us think he doesn’t have value. You do? Of course we won’t agree. It’s impossible to know obviously

I guess I just find it funny that you guys think he’s bad but somehow expect to get more than a 4th for him

That’d be like me saying I’d only trade Granlund for a 3rd or higher. When I’m reality I’d trade him for a 6th or 7th

This completely contradicts your last post about holding out for a 2nd and saying no to a 4th, you had a few tonight, Don?

This is not aimed at anyone but I find it funny to hear so many comments about fix the D and then the roster card for next year has Edler Hutton Tanev Biega Stecher Shenn on it.

Lol fair. I just don’t see urgency moving him for nothing. He could be a fall back if Edler is a wiener in the summer

You would trade him for a 6 or 7 and a month later you would laugh at Benning for only being able to get a 6 th or a 7 th. I have seen you do it.
