Unless we want to hedge our bet on UPL. Goaltending is a more important position then people realize. I wouldn’t complain if we took Knight, I just think there are options past the first round we can look at to take to supplement UPL and use the other first on a d-man or trade it.

I agree with your statement. It doesn't make sense to use that draft position on a goaltender when we have that blue-chip goaltending prospect. I love UPL as a prospect and the Sabres do too.

Also, It wouldn't hurt to find another Miller in the 5th round.

I don't think it's out of the question. Is Ullmark a true #1 in the making, can anyone honestly say that? And, 6K is still so young, who knows how he'll do at the NHL level. Everyone thought Montreal had their goaltending situation set when they drafted Fucale, but here we are 6 years later and he's in the ECHL.

I don't think we have any real goalie prospects outside of Ullmark and 6K, so taking the first goalie off the board wouldn't really be a bad idea.

He’s pretty awesome and considering who he plays for yeah he’s pretty legit

In 6K we Trust. Good preview on 6K in Blue and Gold. It would be awesome if he pushes one of Ulmark/Hutton off the bus next year. However, they probably want to give him the starter role in Rochester and play the year there.
