It is crazy how all over the place people are with those few picks. Let’s just move up to 2 and profit. |

I know I may sound naive, but I think the Sabres are going to be ok. Strictly because Cincinnati and Rochester are solid. You have to have a strong farm system. |

I do think Botts has got that in order. Olofsson could be a nice gem, and I’m optimistic about Pilut and Borgen. |

Move back to grab Newhook, use the assets to move up with SJS pick and take Arthur Kaliyev |

What happens in 5 years if the player Botts picks is amazing, but if they had lost and finished lower is a bust? Then it's just "luck" right? The odds are about the same at that part of the draft. - Wetbandit1
Apart from the top 2 (Hughes/Kakko) the 3-7 range is tough to tell apart. We will get a really good player though I’m confident in that. |

I’m not super educated on these prospects, but Hughes and Kakko seem to be NHL ready. Is anyone else in our pick range? |

I don’t believe so. I think some are one year out but Hughes/Kakko are the only ones who can jump in next year and make an impact

Gotcha. I wonder if our later 1st is for sale...I gotta think Botterill is feeling pressure to beef up next year’s roster. It would be nice to have two 1st rounders marinating in the system, but seats are gonna be getting warm in the front office if they don’t start winning. |

Package it to a team with okposo to get rid of him |

12 goals for, and 3 against in the last two games. Phil figured it all out. Clearly, this team is fine as is. Bring em all back...extended! |

Despite the Lord Byram looking like a safe smart pick, I kinda hope JB goes with a forward.

When all is said and done... like I said the other night..... I never believe rumors, and I truly believe that NOBODY knows what will happen with Sinner... All I know is if they let him walk there had damn well better be a proven 40 goal scorer signed to replace him. There simply is nobody else on this roster, other than Eichel, who has proven he can score more than 20 or 25 goals. Failure to fully replace his 40 goals, no matter when they were scored, will set this team back another 3 years... - rapperray
That’s the thing though
We need to ADD to what we already had scoring this year
So if Skinner walks... then we’re in quite the pickle
Bc idk how we’d realistically replace his lost goals, plus ADD another 50ish to get to where we need to be as an offense
It’s almost impossible to add around 100 goals in one offseason
As much as i really hate to say it....
if we lose Skinner,
We shouldn’t bother signing any UFAs
Doesn’t make sense to overpay for mid-tier guys, only in the hopes of moderately improving
Might as well just play the kids,
and accept that we’ll likely be picking Top5 again next year
Ugh

RJ belongs to a different era. Listening to him is like having a Manhattan with your grandpa. He's Buffalo's grandpa. Sure, he's not batting .315 anymore, but he's a reminder of the good in Buffalo sports, and a comforting hope that we can get there again.
The fact that you can get that worked up against one of the monumental figures in Sabres history tells me that perhaps it's time to take a step back and re-evaluate whether being a fan is right for you - jcragcrumple

I’d like us to pick the best goal scorer of the group that’s available when we choose
Already have some “pass first” types
Need a sniper
Especially if Skinner walks |

Now that the season is over I’m retiring this username. Haven’t decided if I should do it now or leave it for the lottery. I think you’ll appreciate the new one though. By the way I said it first and therefore trade marked it 😛 - Pegullaville
That’s a violation. Total loser fraidy cat Botts style move. Might want to make sure you spell it right this time. I’ll refer to you by nothing other than Flaccoville. |

Good to know. That looked eerily similar to Stamkos a few years back. |
