I didn’t say he was good. But you can’t ignore the one thing he is good at. You think a team that has a D man that puts up 40+ points is going to ship him out for a washed out power winger? Dmen get over paid in UFA and get stupid trade value from desperate teams.

I think they will qualify Goldobin. Even if they end up trading him later. I think it will come down to the players with arbitration rights and how large their contract could be if they win. So on Hutton, I agree, if they can’t reach a contract before the deadline they might walk away.

Ok obviously I misinterpreted this statement “I’m not opposed to trading Jake for Rasmus, I just don’t think there’s equal value there, based on what “good D” cost these days.”

So jake is washed up or am I misinterpreting that also.

I have watched a fair amount of Sabers games over the last few seasons, Ristolainen, is the worst defender in the league. IMO. He makes Pouliot and Hutton look like they know how to defend.

I guess you guys had some prominent guys who posted loads so it always seemed there was some flamer around.

No, you have that right. Jake is a bust as a 6th overall selection. He’s more of a Jack Skille now than he is a Rick Nash.
