I am fine with him. I posted his stats on here about 4 months ago, not many liked him then.
I had suggested he would be a nice pick around 15.
I am fine with him at 9.
Gillis was easily the best gm weve ever had. Had the guts to make moves. We were a dan hamhuis injury away from winning the cup imo. He got results. I remember when we got Booth it was like who the heck is gonna beat this team. Now both ended up sucking but at the time that was a great move. Bad drafting and messing up the goalie thing led to his demise imo - Jkuzzi
Gillis was nothing compared to Quinn. Also he gets no credit for Hammer. The guy went to UFA only wanting to play for Van. He turned down more money elsewhere because he only wanted our team.

Not sure if you are a nirvana fan or not, what are your thoughts on this remake? - Makita
Like nirvana
Love the imagery of the video
Not a fan of the genre.
If I’m gonna listen to country it’s got to have some blues mixed in or at least blue-grass. The slow rhythm, drawl, and twang alone is hard for me to listen to.

Gillis gave us two good years and drove the team into the ground the rest of the time.

Fair enough, it’s not for most. - Makita
I’ve been going through a blues phase for like 30 years now. But it’s allowed me to still enjoy all genres of music because a touch of blues can really add depth to a song.
Especially country and folk music. Some of my favourite musicians are country-blues like Taj Mahal, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells.

Probably wouldn’t be my first choice at #9. Good possibility someone I like more is still on the board. But he is definitely my fav RHD. - DrChristianTroy

I think its funny that in Gillis' first news conference as gm, he said the Sedins weren't first line players and he was going to go out and get first line players. bold moves were ahead.
