Didn't they play Boris The Spider? or was that a different show. - A_SteamingLombardi
That was one of the first Vancouver shows.
I'm assuming you were at the Quadrophenia show as well, with the special guests? |

I'm biased, they are one of my favourite rock bands. I saw their first farewll tour in '82 in Seattle with The Clash opening up for them. Saw 4-5 more farewll tours after that.
I love a lot of Townshend's solo work as well even if he is a miserable c*nt these days. - Marwood
I posted the Who in the last thread.

The child porn part of Pete leaves me with nothing nice to say about him. Been a Who fan forever though. |

Team Defend Gillis became team Hate Benning and vice versa.
- boonerbuck
I’ve seen plenty who disliked both and blind homers who supported both |

One had a cup competing roster and gutted the system to keep the dream alive ...the other inherited bare cupboards with an aging team
Biggest debate would be whether Gillis should have let go sooner or Benning should have done better with what he had |

Was that in '96? I just dug out my concert ticket stubs and I only have 3 for The Who, 80, 82 & 89. |

Hard to say for either since we don’t know how hands on FA is.
But I’d say sooner for both |

I was just looking it up online and they only had 2006 & 2016. I know I saw a Quadrophenia tour that I thought was late '90's but maybe it was early '00's, there was also a greatest hits tour. I'll have to look through my old stubs. |

Great shift from Hughes there, took it from Maroon and Thomas. Don’t think i see that lack of zone presensce others had been talking about. Rafferty looks pretty good, hey? Maybe make the lineup good codes ? |

Benning on Goldy : You hope he takes the next step, he did make strides this year. We will sit down with the coaching staff and decide if we want him back and continue to work with him and develop him. |

Gillis was a bum. Burke and Nonis built that team. JB has built a new one from the ground up. Starting to finally look a little good and still so much whining. Think it’s hard for some to accept that he said he was going to build a team through the draft and he has. Even if he hasnt done much else well. |

I actually think the Who are pretty great, sometimes it’s just great to see them get all grumpy and shake their fists. |
