That'awesome. If the Canucks were too get 3rd and select Byram, I will be a very happy fan.

I think whoever takes him 3rd will regret it. Passing on better forwards to lock in the top Dman in a weak D class 3rd overall...

These are the only players I would be happy with for a top 5 pick.

Agreed. Byram in last years draft would have been the 4th d man picked.

The D in this draft, may be weak, but Byram is head and shoulders above all the others and will be well worth the pick at#3

Yup - also opens up a trade of Juolevi for some scoring help
- CanuckDon

Our D needs both byram and OJ. You want the D to change you cant be trading our good players.

Elder Byram Hutton Juolevi Hughes and Brisbois on the left. Bit of an imbalance. Not sure we need Juolevi as a 3rd pairing LHD.

Hughes is said to be able to play either side equally well.

He said himself that he'd be able to play whichever side we needed.

Kids say a lot of things. He hasn’t played much on the right. I’d be uncomfortable asking a rookie to play his offside. It’s worth experimenting with (and they did for half a game with Edler) but I wouldn’t count on it personally
