If Kakko Byram and Hughes were old enough last year I would have had
Dahlin
Hughes (Jack)
Svechnikov
Tkachuk
Zadina
Hughes (Quinn)
Even before thinking of Boldy or Byram . There are other guys too rated higher like Cozens Dach Podkolzin Zegras Turcotte than Boldy so I don't think I am far off on my original statement.
I don;t think this is a strong draft for forwards. They are good but I am not as sold as others are. |

It means Pearson is what they’d hoped Eriksson would be.....I think? - Pacificgem
If true, it makes me even more angry.
I wouldn’t give Pearson’s skill set $6M a year. |

Do a side by side comp of last year’s fwd crop vs this year’s. This draft is >>>>> IMO.

Easy, that was a good trade by Benning, doesn’t really make up for the poopty trade he made to acquire Gudbranson, but nonetheless, it’s been good so far. |

No doubt, not dumping on Pearson. But if JB wanted Pearson type production out of LE then I don’t think it’s worth $6M per season.
That’s all I’m saying. |

Eriksson was a six time 20+ goal scorer when he signed him. Thought he’d get that. Unfortunately he was too dumb to understand how Eriksson had managed to produce offence. We didn’t have that type of help if he wasn’t playing exclusively with the twins. |

Definitely a stronger forward group this year but that is not saying a lot
Last years D market was way better.
I would still have J.Huges Tkachuk Zadina Kakko Svechnikov without even touching the D all listed before Boldy . Then you still need to decide if you favor Boldy over Cozens Turcotte Dach Zergras. Most draft sites favor the listed forwards over Boldy |

Edmonton Cap Hell
Ana Old and Cap Hell
Minny Old
Arizona Good Shape
Canucks Good Shape
Chicago Old and Cap Hell
Like I said the teams in Cap Hell will need to get creative which usually means losing assets - VANTEL
Chicago is neither old, nor in cap he'll.
They have 3 forwards at 30 years old and 1 at 39.
2 defensemen in their 30s and 2 goalies in 30s.
They have approximately 20 million in capspace. |

Your argument is confusing the (frank) outta me
You said the fwd group was weaker. Now you’re fixating on the value of Boldy across both drafts (I would be THRILLED to get him at 9 - he would help Pettersson immensely). Turcotte/Zegras will be gone. I prefer Boldy to Cozens. Or maybe it’s the hangover typing & I’m confused... |

I do see a trend in some of JBs signings. Wrong player, with the wrong set of skills, signed at the wrong time in the teams rebuild.
I hope these long term deals with huge penalties on the back end have seen their last days. Hope GMs have smartened up. |

I didn't think last year was a strong draft for forwards either. At least not elite ones.
I think this years group has two elite forwards and then a bunch of good forwards.
Last year had about 3 or 4 elite forwards and a few good ones.
I would be happy with Boldy also. |

You can only argue about how poopty/great players, managers and coaches are for so long. Throw a little culture in every once in a while |

There’s five teams, including Vancouver, who could get into the West wildcard spot with four or five more wins. Easier said than done without knowing what transpires this summer. - Pacificgem
For sure there is more than us just looking to move up...but I am more concerned in where we will be this time next season. If we are up another 5 spots and another 4-5 regulation wins I'll look at that as moving forward regardless on what happens with the club this summer. We are trending in the right direction. |

So one of the local radio guys says the Canucks are eyeing 3 guys for team president
1. Lombardi
2. Holland
3. Francis
How does everyone rank them?
For me it’s Francis, Lombardi, Holland |

That’s what seems to stands out. The nice thing is JB will likely find one of the better ‘good’ ones. |

This is a valid question, at least Lu had good value every year he played here. I think loui is worse for that reason, he’s just been poope since day one |
