There needs to be a mix of talent, quite a few dump on JV only because of his draft position, and Boeser was drafted much later and gets a pass on his poor defensive play because he puts up 60pts.

If trading Virtanen can realize a positive such as a second round pick, then yes, if it is for a fourth, I would keep him. I think he gets better every year and regardless of Dons coke head friends and Virtanen’s sexual exploits he is an asset that you get full value or keep.

I am sure if Jake ever puts up 29 and 27 goals with 60 pts fans will overlook his shortcomings.

We do talk about Boeser too but his numbers are way above Jakes

I understand where you are coming from, he is one of the few assets that might realize a possible good return. (I say possible because the return is an unknown).

Don’t make a deal just to do a deal, it has to have a benefit. What could a Virtanen deal realize, this offseason?

And this isn’t about points for me, love Boeser, would never trade him, but I would like an all round game from everyone, if it’s demanded of Virtanen, Beagle, Goldobin, (I could go on), it should be demanded of all players.

The point in time the Nucks are at is no rush on Jake. He has 1-2yrs to realize full potential hence any trade has to be a win or don’t attempt one.

His defensive numbers did improve. It’s going tontake some time for all of them, just like it did for Bo.

I don't know why people keep mentioning the highlighted part?

There is only one player on this team that I would move for nothing or even pay someone to take him. That would be number 21.

It really drives me nuts hearing don't move him for the sake of moving him
. Like Vintsy when he hears the words Hockey Trades.

Of course moving Jake , the only reason would be to improve the team. I care that he has value and other teams would be willing to take him on just like last years Galchenyuk and Domi.

Not pointed at you NH but people that post these Pat answers can shove them up their ass

All I hear on here is how people want a new management team to think outside the box and every suggestion I hear is inside the box.

You can draft a guy with Jakes talent in the third or fourth round. He has first round expectations but all he has shown to date is third line talent.

Torres has a mean streak and would throw his weight around. Jake doesn’t really do that, not as much as he could anyways

I feel if Jake could move his feet every game and use his size a bit more he would be perfect to play with Bo as other teams would have a very tough time containing them.

I see jake much like a Sam Bennett ...fans complained that he was too inconsistent, didn’t get enough minutes in the top 6, needed better line mates.... you would see glimpses of him breaking out then he would disappear for 10 games ...guy had no role and was being pulled in every direction in how he should be used ...he figured out his role and much like jake will never live up to his draft position but is a very useful player now

Torres, Laperiere, Burrows & Kesler. Man, the Canucks were universally hated back then, life was good.

But so much fun to watch as a fan. I used to watch the games twice back then. So enjoyable.
