I'll never understand Dougie. I get he never coached, but he was a good player and he won a Cup and he did not know giving up 50 shots a game would not lead to success? It's not like Lou and Barry changed the roster in a big way. We need to get a copy of the tape from one of Doug's practices with the team.

Islanders with 5th most points in the league!!! What a season! I really think this is just the tip of the iceberg. We have some really good young talent knocking on the door plus cap space to go after 1 maybe 2 top free agents... After all these wasted years with brutal management, it’s a pretty good time to be a Islanders fan...!
