Starters thru 7 games had gone only 31 innings - puts a lot of pressure on a bullpen that would be shaky under any circumstances.

Is this the same team we are playing that wiped the floor with our supposedly superior roster team (younger core plus Panarin) 2 years ago in playoffs? Preds should be playing for their lives this game as win/lose may mean playing against Avs with easy win or Blues with likely lose in the first round.

SAT - 13-23; SOG - 7-14; SC - 5-7.

Seems like the Preds ARE playing for their lives this game - and Ward (and two nice plays by Strome to Perlini and Kane to Caggiula) is the difference.

Was not a fan of Ward, and felt Forsberg should have played ahead of him at the start of the season . Ward has won me over for the most part . I imagine Forsberg will bolt after the way he has been mishandle here .You could do worse then Ward next year .I think Crow will have his comeback year next ,Ward would be more of a known as the back-up .

I don't know enough about Forsberg this year in the AHL. I'm not too sure if he will re-sign with us or not.

There was a story about Ward's son going to school in Chicago. I think he has some disability. He will try to stay in Chicago.

I was saying I am unsure about King. I honestly have no idea if the Hawks view him as good developer of young talent. Whomever is in Rockford needs to be running the same systems as JC that much is a must.

The Hawks have made no announcements as to whether King is just an interim for this season or the coach for next season. Gives me the feeling they might be looking elsewhere.

It's great to see the secondary scoring from Perlini and Caggs. Hopefully they can keep this up next year. Nice pickups by Stan. Hope he makes similar good moves over the summer.

not a metric i can substantiate...but i think he leads the league in killing the play with his shot into the middle of the goalie or his glove...
