But, like I said before, as long as a Wirtz owns this team, there will always be a bias. We do not have access to "official" documents, so even though the Lysiak era officials are gone, things like this have a way to live for generations. The 3 Championships have Bettman wide awake at night, still to this day. - powerenforcer
I understand you firmly believe that. I don't. If I thought the "fix was in" I don't think I could follow the game as passionately as I do.
What will you do if the Hawks win one of the top-3 lottery picks?

We’ve gone around about this for 8 or 9 years now - but I will say again:
The league is better off with winning teams in NYC and (especially) Chicago - and NBC knows it.
And if the network knows it, so do Bettman and the Board of Governors.
None of them - including especially NBC - is happy to have Dallas or Denver in and Chicago out. |

The league cannot just purposely fix the season against a team all the time, but they will never win a lottery like Pit did. Yes, they could win the lottery, but is there a generational player in this draft? |

But Bettman is selling regional hockey. If your comment was true, Arizona would have folded long ago. |

They won the lottery to get Kane. That was supposed to be Philly’s pick. |

Excited to see both STL and Nashville lose in Round 1. IF Hedman plays, hard to bet against Tampa. |

There’s another clip of him looking at the trainer and supposedly saying, “It’s broke,” but really could be any “b” word. - pdx2ord
It's busted, for sure. I think a broken leg would probably be better than a torn up knee for his long term health, right? Giordano just lost my support for the Norris...absolutely no reason to take his legs out there in a meaningless game for both teams. You got beat, totally dangerous play on the world's most exciting player. Hate to see it.
Also, former #1 overall pick Ryan Nugent Hopkins working at CAREER best 67 points....nice player, but not the kind of franchise changer you hope to get. Filip Forsberg is an absolute BEAST and was drafted 11th. Comes down to the scouting department and player development for draft picks. I think Dallas gives Nashville a lot of trouble in Round 1, and it will be a dog fight between STL and Winnipeg. |

Winnipeg is good, but something is not clicking up there. Were Binnington to stand on his head, the Blues could toss the Jets out into the cold. Dallas is a fun team to watch. If only they had a little more offense.

Not saying it will happen but bettman is smart he rig the lottery to where hawk rangers detroit L.A. big market teams are picking in the top 5 to 7 picks those teams and markets in which they play in need to be in the playoffs because they generate the most revenue and ratings. Which benefits the league and the fans. |

If Bettman is smart, and he is, he'll leave everything alone and allow the lottery to be random. Should a fix be in it will at some point get out and he and the NHL would be in severe legal problems.
If the Hawks were to luck out and get a top three pick, I'd love to read how Powerenforcer would try to spin the false Bettman hates the Hawks narrative. |

Josh Morrissey has been a huge loss for them. Big Buff has been out for almost all of the 2nd half, and Laine has not been the same player this year. I still like Winnipeg to beat St Louis in a hard fought series.
Gotta think the team who comes out of the Atlantic Division is the Cup Favorite....really a toss up for me if Boston + Tampa matchup in Round 2. |

He was clearly trying to play the puck with his stick...he was not intentionally trying to take McD out....very unfortunate...you wonder if more changes will come about how the net mooring can give way more easily... |

Next year's goaltending scares me the most. They'll address the defensive deficiencies, and be left with uncertainty in the nets. Certainly, Crawford playing close to a full season is over, and Delia isn't ready. It will be more than interesting to see how they address this situation. |
