Oh no, IMO 9.5 for Skinner is pushing it, I mentioned a while back that they were talking 7.8- 8.5 in that area, i'm hearing Skinner's agent thinks otherwise. - SABRES 89

Read my post again.... It has nothing to do with whether he is worth it or not... - rapperray
Briere and Drury meant way more to those teams than Skinner does to this one. Eichel can make a 20 goal guy a 30 goal guy. He can't make the likes of Girgensons good though, like they tried last year |

No av 😒 bring ruff back then - gerbe75pts
(frank) Lindy and all the past Sabres.
JC, this franchise absolutely sucks ass historically, why bring back a guy who couldn't get you there with Drury and Briere and rules bent for them to win.
Get some damn fresh blood...I'm warming to the idea of a Kronberg (or whatever his name is).
Lindy is done. Over, finished, KAPUT |

the sheary and tage experiment didn't work with jack
skinner signing makes this team much closer to a playoff team then if he walks
not sure why this is hard for people to comprehend |

My point earlier is that the whole Skinner thing is about more than whether he is worth it or not... He is not Brierre or Drury but losing him would have the same effect and put this team back 3 seasons... |

This is a solid A post.
Could have been an A+ if you had included any of:
Reinhart sucks
Clown lives matter
A pic of some hot redhead in revealing lingered
.
.
.
Or
IDIOTS
I EXPECTED MUCH BETTER
Final grade A-, but a chance to kick back to A+ dependent on your next post

If Skinner walks July 1 then you fire Botteril the moment they figure out he’s walking. Please tell me they had a $$$ ceiling in mind for Skinner when they traded for him. If he does what they traded him to do and score 40+ which he did he would want 9 or over 9. If the Skinner camp wants 10+ then he’s traded at deadline, I know there are a lot of armchair gm’s but my god it’s not that hard of a job in all seriousness. |

I agree, but Skinner is not on the same level as Briere and Drury. Not even close. It's more akin to Miller not wanting to re-sign |

I'm not saying he's looking for 10 or more but it may cost 9 to keep him, 8 seems like a nice number but like I said before, his agent may make this difficult by using Stone as an example. Can always use Pacioretty as an example also. |

Botterill deserves a lot of the blame for this, Mitts had no business being 2nd line center but we have talked about that enough and it seems he knows that. This next coach hire will be crucial to this organization moving forward, not just that but crucial to other players wanting to come here. We look like fools as of now. |

I'm happy to have the debate as to whether Berglund could have adequately filled that role, because that's definitely debatable, but GMJB doesn't deserve the blame for Berglund taking his ball and going home. That was unforeseeable. He made a plan, and it didn't work out. Certainly the wingers weren't adequate either. Some of that falls on him, and some falls on Okposo sucking as well |

Our goal tending is horrible and I don't care who is in the pipeline, no one has shown anything yet in the pipeline in the NHL level. Neither goalie we have can move this team forward, I've said it to many times. |

Yes he is, no he's not...back and forth. Face facts, ALL OF YOU.....this is the roster of a 30TH PLACE team...30TH PLACE. NOBODY, should be safe on this roster, NOBODY shpuld be worth opening the Brinks Truck up to re-sign. The roster BLOWS! If it's not the roster, then it's the coach, thdn it's the GM, Repeat. Repeat, Repeat.
Maybe, if TP & KP said tomorrow they were turning this ALL over to a Hockey Mind, I'd have some level of excitement, but more kerosene and a couple more flares will be thrown on top of this DUMPSTER FIRE of an organization at cleanout day. |

I'm not saying he would have been an upgrade, I'm saying there was a plan in place to ease Mittelstadt in. Forces outside of Botterill's control altered that plan. And really after that went down, Housley went full Sobotka for like 2 months instead of trusting Mittelstadt. He didn't even play Erod there until Eichel got hurt in January, and then a lightbulb went on in Housley's head and thought, "huh, I can play Rodrigues in a scoring role instead of Sobotka"

Sabres finished with 76 points, falling short by a full:
22 points
14 wins
52 Goals for (too few)
48 Goals against (too many)
It should be clear that they absolutely need to:
-Resign Skinner, project 35 goals for him (that leaves a goal deficit of 5)
-sign a 2C in FA that they can pencil in another 25 G's
- sign a 1RW or 2RW (depending on where Skunk plays) to contribute 20 more G's
- find 20 more G's from Olofsson, Reinhart, Mitts collectively than Migts, Pommer and Sam did last season
- expect 15 more from Dahlin, Pilut, Montour, ERod, collectively.
- build a solid 3rd line that is also defensively proficient
- play the damn system at about 90%-95% efficiency to reduce goals against...total buy-in from all...Risto if retained needs to reduce his +/- to around -5 to -10 maximum.
IMO they need a DEVELOPMENTAL Coach who can extract the bestv
