Now you are assuming that the 5 or 5 wins were not in games that went to extra time (10-12 points). Some of those wins could have been an OTW instead of an OTL. You aren’t right, they are further from the playoffs than you think. Are they getting better? Yes, but it is going to take much more time to be a threat.
- 1970vintage

You keep talking about my assumptions. I made none. Your statement that 5 or 6 wins wouldnt have made much difference is proven to be wrong. They would be in the playoffs. I didnt make any assumptions at all. Just pointing out they are closer than you thought.

You are trying to talk your way out of it by projecting on me.

its not a popularity contest in here. Neem and Marwood can handle their own battles. I don't pile onto anything or pick sides, despite the family connection
- Codes1087

And it's not really a battle, it's more like rigorous ribbing. I actually agree with Neem on a few things but I don't feel like feeding his ego.

Maybe i do?! But i can at least look in the mirror and ask myself that. You twisting around people’s words doesn't change the topic, sorry. I wasn’t taking a shot at only you as many do it, but if it hit home for you that hard...

I take it all in good nature, Neem as you appear to do as well.

Rinne is pretty world class, never heard him called a choker before. I think they might sweep tbh.s
- neem55

Lots of goalies are world-class in reg season and are hit miss in the PO's. Rinne is becoming one of those goalies very similar to how Lou was.

Its been a mixed bag. He's doing well lately.

Baby steps, but that said we've seen players impress in short samples before.

If Pearson, Leivo, Schenn and Roussel replicate this years performance, I will be the first one to praise him for his improvement.

My money is on Roussel and 1 other looking good at the end of the year and the other joining the cast of underwelmers.

In typical Leafs fashion their D and Goaltending have looked suspect the last few week of the reg season. Leafs have a lot of fire power that BOS needs to deal with. I still think Boston squeaks by but it's going to be a series I think.

Its going to come down to the bottom 6 depth, D and goaltending. Their top players should cancel each other out. Boston has arguably the best line in hockey so its not just Boston facing firepower.

Leafs out in 6 this time.

I'm not totally sold on Leivo, I think Pearson will be good next year though.

Huh. Never really thought so and this is the first ive heard it. Pretty sure Rinne is a rock in the playoffs. He posted .930 in their run two years ago. He’s not really the reason they lost, if anything he’s the reason they got to the final.
