CJ can't coach russians nor offensive minded forwards. But he really got the best out of this group this year...

I like how he started the season, giving the young guys space and icetime.

Then they realized they had an actual legit shot at the playoffs and he started coaching like Claude Julien again and next thing you know they missed the playoffs, Kotkaniemi got scratched a couple of times, Thompson and Weal got alot of ice time that could have been used for player developement.

I would have liked him to coach the last 32 games like the first 50 but it's all understandable.

They did in his defense Weal played very well.

True, having a decent backup might have saved the Habs season me think. Take that one game of 50+ saves away, Niemi was a disaster this year.
