Drouin also had a career season, matched his career total. And he finished third in scoring the team. That means even at their best the other 7 guys are less productive than him?
- Fredo

Drouin gave up with 25 games left in the season. Didn't even play hard when he could nto get points, just floated and turned over pucks.

(frank) any talent when a player gives up for over 25% of the season.

He's not my favorite player but he's not awful either. At one point he was tied with Domi in points and then things wen't bad. With what they paid for him and the lack of talent on the team they just can't afford to give up on him.

But if 1 of their better forwards needed to go to bring in a good LD, it would be him

Was wondering the same thing, maybe he gets a senior discount for the whole team when they go out?

He was a headcase in T-Bay, and mediocre there. He was awful last year. He was awful for most of the season, unless Domi was kicking his ass / getting him points.

He is a 3rd liner on most deep teams, simply because he cannot be trusted to play against the best players given his lack of willingness to play defence, barely forechecking, spending most of his time cherry picking (or floating lost when the Habs don't have the puck), no look passes that are careless turn-overs, or playing along the boards eventually giving the puck.

But yeah, lets spend the next 2 years with the whole "yeah, but he could be really good" until we all finally decide he is just mediocre.

We've seen enough of Drouin to know what he is all about at this point. So unless Drouin decides to get his poop together and work hard every shift, or the Habs find a McDavid to feed gift points, don't expect anything more.

Mashadar is pretty bang on.

I like the guy (Drouin not Mashadar) but he's not the 80 point guy we want him to become.
