What would you have said about Barry Trotz before 2018?

Would you have wanted no part of him?

Would you want him now?

Similar to Boudreau, he never made it past round 2 in his entire career until 2018, when he won the Cup.

Now he’s turning another team around and is considered among the best coaches in the NHL.

I doubt that he just suddenly figured out how to coach in the playoffs in 2018.

I’m not so sure I buy into this whole “great coach in the regular season, terrible coach in the playoffs” theory.
I think a LOT more factors into it than that.


Boudreau doesn’t seem to be available though, so i guess it doesn’t really matter.
I’d be thrilled if we hired him, though.

As you said, we need a veteran coach that won’t be overwhelmed by the size of the Sabres job. It’s a heavy lift, for sure.

They have to get this hire right if we want any chance at competing in a brutal Atlantic.

Meh could be a good fill-in player forThe power play definitely don’t want to see him on the top two lines but I’m just thinking how the Sabres think

I’m talking like $1.2 million For the 3rd line and him being with Casey could help his development imo vanek would probably hit 15-20 g and I think that’s great value for 1.2m Anything more than I would pass

The abuse he took every game in front of the net was just incredible to watch

Even though people said he was a (wussy)

maybe you tuned out but his play around the puck was great and made clean passes to set up teammates controlled the play at his own pace and his snapping Is top-notch and what we need
