You aren't going to find any visionaries in the coaching unemployment line. If you want fresh ideas, go to the college ranks (seeing as how we just fired an inexperienced coach, that seems unlikely), or an outsider like the pair of Swedes. That said, you can do much worse than AV imo.

Beaulieu was a rookie and had "Nate the great" on his hockey sticks.

Gionta took all his sticks and cut them all in half, to let him know, hey, you're in the NHL now kid. You're nothing until you prove it.
