The Islanders placed with a higher seed....yet the Isles fans wanna come around here spreading the reverse jinx like theyre the underdog or people think they're the underdog.
Nope. Not having that reverse jinx crap |

Pens in 7 gut wrenching, low scoring, 1 goal games. The fans will be as exhausted as the players at the end. Drinking really helps, so I'm stocking the fridge tonight. |

FWIW, I picked the Pens in 6 vs. Philly last season. - jmatchett383
If they keep advancing, at some point I'll pick against the Pens. I'll believe they have a chance, as fans we usually do, but nothing wrong with admitting your team is the underdog in my mind. |

I see this series being really good. The three guys the islanders have to contain is Crosby Malkin and letang. Out of the three it’s letang who gives us fits. When he is not playing the islanders play the pens good. I am an islander fan but if the pens play like the pens I see them winning in six. If the islanders defense can contain those three I see the islanders in six. So to me this series can go either way. |

If the Pens face the Caps or Lightning, assuming all rosters are at full health, they shouldn't be favored. Also, if they have to play any of Winnipeg, Calgary, or Nashville, they shouldn't be favored.
But against any of NYI, Car, or CBJ, they should be the favorite. Toronto and Boston are a wash, to me. |

Yeah Im just joking around with ya.
Your franchise deserves some playoff success IMO, which I think is very soon, now that King Garth Snow's reign of terror is over. I just hope its not this year, obviously haha |

I don’t know the islanders are hard to read. Every time I thought that they were going to go back to their old ways, trotz pulled them out of it. They are better coached and that is huge so who knowd |

Kessel had 2G/4A/6P in 4 games vs. NYI this year. I'd say he has to be accounted for.
I think the Isles will be a tough out. They're fairly young, so I don't think they know they're expected (generally speaking) to lose. I just don't see them winning 4 out of 7 playoff games against this squad. |

Trotz is actually one of the things that concerns me the most about the Isles. Hes great and I saw him make some very good adjustments to the Caps last year in that series, that were no doubt a factor in the Pens demise. |

This is going to be a tough series, but I think the pens are going to take it in 6. It would be nice to know Dumo's fate prior to Wednesday. |

You know what? The more and more than I think about it, I don't think I've ever had a bigger celebrity crush than I had on Tiffany Amber Thiesen as a teenager. She was gorgeous, cute tight body, great legs, and so adorable. Sure, there've been "hotter" girls since then, but that was probably my biggest celebrity crush (sorry Melissa Joan Hart).
Pens in 12. |

After the Lightning, I actually probably fear Boston the most. After that, there's probably 8 or 9 teams that are pretty close overall. If Tampa gets knocked off, I think it's a pretty open field. |

The Caps are so ridiculously overrated it’s almost shocking. If not for the whole Met underperforming this year then all people would be talking about is how the Caps underperformed outside of OV. |

The series will come down to talent and experience and the Penguins are superior in both categories. Crosby will find a way to win and the rest of the team will follow suit. |

I didn't realize the CBJ Bolts season series was so one sided. Yikes. I'm more confident in my sweep prediction.
Have to think this series is going at least 6. Like one Isles fan said last blog, they play a style of hockey suited for the playoffs. Add in a hot goalie that can steal games and anything can happen. 1st goal is huge in this series. |
