Gotta think EDM is gonna shop that pick for immediate help. Ghost+?
- hereticpride

On the contrary I wouldn’t be surprised if they dumped players for picks to eliminate salary.

I don’t follow your line of thought.

You made a statement about what a real GM would do, where does the knowledge behind that statement come from?

I was just thinking Ghost to Edmonton, but not for their draft pick. They could use the PP QB, but Edmonton would have to shed at least 1 of their defensemen and the Flyers have no need for any of the ones they want to get rid of.

Personally I would love to see the Flyers try to get RNH for their 2C. An all situational player and defensively responsible. Would Edmonton take Ghost and the Flyers 1st? Not sure they would, but RNH could be on his way out if you listen to his exit interview.

Pretty solid matchups for the Flyers down the middle then:

Couturier
RNH
Patrick
Laughton

Flyers need a spark to reignite the fanbase's passion as they currently sit a distant 5 out of 5 in Philadelphia sports behind the soccer team.

This is just salt in an open wound. (frank) this.

I'm not huge in RNH but I think that could be a solid get. Especially if these wing prospects we have start filtering in and pan out.

Turcotte a very interesting choice .... Both USNDT. Hope we can trade a few spots and get him.

1. JACK HUGHES (C, USNDT, USHL, 5-foot-11, 170 lbs.)

The stats: GP: 41; G:23, A:63, PTS: 86 2.1PTS/G

7. ALEX TURCOTTE (C, USNDT, USHL, 5-foot-11, 186 lbs.)

The stats: GP: 30, G: 23, A:30, PTS: 53 1.77PTS/G

I like the RNH move but there are a lot of good UFA centers available, Nelson, Hayes, Lee. Etc. I’d rather see them trade for a D man like Nurse from the Oilers

Maybe they'll only raise ticket prices 20% instead of 25%.

What's it gonna take to get Liane out of Winnipeg since they weren't hanging up on teams at the deadline?

Outside of Hart, Coots & Provy whatever it takes I'm listening.

Seems like a lot of people are not fans of RNH, but I personally believe if he wasn't on Edmonton people would change their mind. The fact he is a key factor to their PP (which includes McDavid) and their best PK forward says a lot. He isn't flashy, but he really is like a better skating and smaller Couturier.

If there is a player that the feel can help that at 11 then I would have no problem with them picking there.

If they dont project a player that can help them or if they get a good offer then its a spot you have to listen.

That trade doesn't make Edmonton better now so I don't think they would do that.

Those options are viable, but I feel sorry for the team that has to sign Hayes for 7M per. They are going to be very underwhelmed and disappointed. Would love to add him, but at that cost no way.

I just don't see Edmonton trading Nurse unless it brings back someone who can fill his spot like Sanheim or Myers.

I like Hayes a lot and think he's a solid player that could really help the Flyers. I agree though, at 7M that's too much. I think he's a 6M player at best. That's free agency though.

Which wont happen so ...

Connor McDavid didn't turn the Oilers into a top team so how is Hughes supposed to turn the devils into a contender?? Lol
