That trade doesn't make Edmonton better now so I don't think they would do that.

I don't see Edmonton doing it either, but I can see RNH getting traded next year. He has 2 years left and is tired of not having linemates and Edmonton can not afford to have him walk as a UFA.

Edmonton is in a tough spot, any value they have they most likely want to keep or if they trade them then they go sideways unless they only trade picks and prospects.

Those options are viable, but I feel sorry for the team that has to sign Hayes for 7M per. They are going to be very underwhelmed and disappointed. Would love to add him, but at that cost no way.

I just don't see Edmonton trading Nurse unless it brings back someone who can fill his spot like Sanheim or Myers.

Agree, Hayes would not be my first choice. Edmonton is completely unpredictable as to what they may do. There was an article yesterday about getting rid of Draitsatl for salary concerns. New GM coming, anything is possible up there.

Connor McDavid didn't turn the Oilers into a top team so how is Hughes supposed to turn the devils into a contender?? Lol

Actually the Devils have a pretty good foundation and play as a team. Adding scoring with Hughes makes them more dangerous. Adding more speed with Hall combined with their work ethic could be a nightmare. Then add in a couple D prospects making the jump and Quenneville and Mcleod (more skating) to the mix and finally the emergence of Blackwood.

They could be a solid TEAM team in a couple years, not just a paper superstar like the Flyers.

My only issue with RNH is his value is very high after a career year this year. That factored with the available centres on the market make me want to test UFA first.

So how come we can't become a solid team with players like Frost, farabee, Cates, Allison, ratcliffe, and Zamula in the mix? We didn't suddenly blow our chances of being a good team by not picking in the top 2. poop we have a no2 overall pick who hasn't done poop in his two years here
