Avs would have been better off picking in the top 10 twice. Is anyone giving Columbus a shot against Tampa ? Carolina is probbaly going home round 1. Isles have been overachieving all year, does a first or second round knockout help that team more then adding another stud to the lineup ? Now Jfitz will tell you there will be studs available all over the first round, and he’s not wrong, but picking closer to the top allows you have better odds of landing a franchise core piece. I don’t mind missing the playoffs when the Sabres would have been blown over regardless.
