I would trade it with okposo just to get rid of his contract. That 6 million free could be an actual player helping us.

Depth can be had with the right trades. Look at the players that took off . minimal trade and flourished for the teams . It can happen .

Chances were better that we were picking 5-7 then top 3. We will get a very good prospect, best guess is Turcotte or Krebs.

Individually not much to look at but all 3 adds were much better/faster than the guys they replaced. And in terms of cap it cost the pens about the same.

I think too many people are over estimating the impact Hughes or Kakko would’ve had on next season. Granted I wanted to pick in the top 2 but I’m not throwing in the towel on the whole season because we are picking 7. We are still getting a good player in a deep draft. Many other moves need to be made, both addition & subtraction, to get better results next year. Go Botts!
