However with the parity amongst the scout opinions perhaps one of them falls to us but I’m not going to hold my breath. I think our pick will really be between Dach/Zegras/Boldy/Podkolzin (if Russian factor drops him)

I think Asplund starts off in Rochester again next year but is our first recall candidate when we need to go down to the farm. Give him a taste of the NHL after 20 some odd games on rochester next year and see how he does.

This is actually pretty well done. I'm all for using both picks, but any GM worth his salt is going to answer the phone. You need another Montour-esq return with that 2nd pick. I'd prefer we stocked the system, but any player that makes this team better in short and long term is worth it.

"Professionals" are NHL level contracts. Doesn't matter if your in the NHL or AHL. Asplund Dahlin and Olofsson will be exempt, because they won't be beyond 2 years of experience. However, Nylander Tage and Borgen will be.

Actually happy with last nights results. This team has finally gotten some much needed reality checks. For the last 5 years the motto has been oh get a top 3 pick and that solves everything. Flames, Isles, Yotes (came close) found ways to be competitive this year with nowhere near the historical draft assets Buffalo has had.

Not entirely sure what kind of player #7 brings back but if they go with drafting at that spot there is at least a 50/50 chance Botterill never sees that player lace it up in Blue and Gold.

We're going to be worse next year. Skinner is going to walk. No one wants this coaching job. Nothing in the system that will help in any big way. All I hope for is that we're the worst team in the league so we can pick 4th.
