To clarify, I’m saying it’s an absolute ceiling comp for a stylistically similar prospect. I’d love to get him - always assumed he’d be long gone, but it seems 3-10 is actually going to be an unpredictable cluster(frank). - DrChristianTroy
I won't count out my guy from earlier this season, from creeping back into the top 10.
Lavoie has been on fire 13 goals and 20 points in 10 playoff games, is going to get some attention

3-10 are fairly interchangeable so definitely unpredictable agreed.

Zegras or Boldy would be a great pick but ultimately having a great draft boatd is the one thing JB can be trusted with. The u18 is going to decide a lot as that top 10 beyond 2 is pretty up in the air
Yikes. They have sure given up a lot of very good players to get that though. - manvanfan
But they weren't going to win. Look how much of a better shot they have by stock picking picks. Kept some vet leadership and got rid of guys that can bring them picks. Smart management and not rocket science. I wish our management did that too bad

Jb is an ok drafter. Over rated IMO. It may not be the drafting as much as how our team develops though I think they go hand in hand.
He missed on 2 top 10 picks in juolevi and jake. That ain't great you gotta hit on those picks are it's going to be a long road back which obviously we are finding it is. Demko good brock good outside top 10 rest are all maybes and at the moment not developing well

I hear you although I'm still not sold on Hughes being a top pairing guy.
The only reason I put NYR ahead is the number of picks and prospects they have acquired. I believe quantity trumps "drafting skill" when it comes to hitting bluechip prospects. - belcherbd

That's the only thing you laughed at? I was laughing at quantity over quality. 61 points in 243 games for Rangers rookies this season.
66 points in 71 games for EP
Fun fact EPs seal adjusted scoring rating for the NHL from his draft year was .91. Scored at a .93 ppg this season. Point scored for seal ratings. - manvanfan
Tampa Bay is in a cap crunch next season. Should really look at taking on Callahan's contract if he will waive to go to Utica. He is from Rochester NY.
Ask for Callahan, Alex Volkov and Nicklas Perbix for Biega and a 6th
poopty depth is not an issue for Van anymore. A list of players Van won't need for next season.
Eriksson
Baertschi
Spooner
Granlund
Goldy
Hutton
Biega
Sutter.
Hutton and Granlund and 6th for Oliver Bjorkstrand

Probably need to hang on to Hutton one more season until they figure out what the hell is going on with Edler Tanev. Injuries too.

Read an article a little bit ago saying Mtl was needing left handed D. Could look to them as well to trade Hutton.
I think Baer and Goldy have one more year here to show they can be what their potential is.

I think we pretty much know what Sven's ceiling is at this point. He's a solid 3LW that can put up a few numbers when healthy but really injury prone now and one solid hit away from a career over.
Goldy I would like to see get more opportunity with Green not sure he's ever gonna make it out of his doghouse however.

I think Sven can ride coattails on the second line. He’s smart enough to play with skilled players, and has a good shot. The one hit thing is scary though, more for his health than the team.
Goldy can work his way out. Saw that this year with Hutton: he had it worse at the end of last year, really took it on himself to be better/more accountable, and was playing big and important minutes down the stretch. It’s definitely possible.

I think the Canucks just have better players now. With Leivo and Pearson, Baertschi has become expandable. Brisebois, Sautner, Teves, OJ. Hutton isn't needed anymore.

He can...but why settle for a 3LW that can log top 6 minutes? I'd like to see dedicated 2LWingers in the top 6 and having guys like Sven solidify our 3rd line.
I'm hoping you are right on Goldy and he is committed to becoming better. Sure has offensive potential.
