Yeah, I'm a little surprised by that - mdw7413
I think Hayes slot everybody accordingly. Chytil can figure out the center spot on the 3rd line, moves Lias to the wing or as an extra. |

Soderstrom a little redundant with Lundkvist? - jimbro83
It may have been a while back I mentioned it, but in talking randomly to a dad at my son's hockey practice... his buddy is a coach or scout or something and Soderstrom's name somehow came up (a guy I actually knew about) and he mentioned how this guy had watched like 4 games of his and he never made a mistake and that he would rise up the draft boards. I googled him at the time and he was a low round projection, but now he's almost Top 10. If you watch highlights, he's waaaay better than Nils (at least via highlights) and I think he and Miller could be an 8 year top pairing kind of deal. Just my 2 bits... who knows where he goes or what he becomes.

Let it be noted I want Hayes back if they can trade Vesey and Nam. - tomburton99
We really should just get Brock Nelson instead. Probably cheaper and I'm not sure he's just isn't Hayes equal anyway. |

Might be a good think if Nils doesn't pan out. Just keep adding to the pool baby. Though if we wind up with the picks, I'm still on team trade up. Get as many high impact players in here as possible. You probably know way more than I would, has any period in Rangers history been even close to now in terms of high number of exciting prospects? I didn't think I'd ever see a time like this for the team given the way they usually operate. - 2sticks1puck
Only thing I can compare to was when Leetch, Amonte, Turcotte and all those guys were prospects (I don't remember where or when they were drafted). I just recall all the chatter about the Rangers young players, so I would say that's the last time....? |

Don't forget about the immortal Ferraros and Christian Dube. I remember being a kid and thinking those guys were really going to be good. |

lol the fanbase was all about them at the time though. Since I was a kid, I really can't say that given the moment if it was deserved or not.
This is the most number of hyped prospects I can remember that has legitimate reasons to back it up. That doesn't even include some of our late round picks like Keane, Renanunen, and Barron that could still do something and are exceeding expectations. |

It's ok, it's only NYI Dmen we need to avoid like the plague in free agency. After Hamrlik, I think this board would explode if a defensmen even attended an Islanders game as a fan at one point. |

ultimately I don't care now that they have 2nd overall
if the Rangers ended up at 9 and used it on Soderstrom and not an impact forward, I would have been pissed
now, just take best player available with all the picks, I dont care |

Watch the Rangers go off the board and draft someone else.
You want to talk about an epic board implosion. |

I’m mentally preparing myself for Gorton to go off the board.
“And with the 2nd overall selection of the 2019 NHL Draft the New York Rangers select...... Alex Turcotte |

There's an alternate reality in which I'm hoping this to happen to see the board and sites. There's also an alternate reality where NJ picks Kakko after months of us hyping him up and we have to pivot back to team Hughes. |

You mean the team that picked Dylan Mcilrath and Hugh Jessmian in can't miss spots? Yes they can. Wil they, hopefully not. Gorton just has to override Clark. |

Those guys are key in the sense that if they hit, we can trade some of the higher rated prospects at the same position in a package to get a high end player. Ultimately, we'll have more prospects than spots, so you know some guys will be moved. |
