I don't know if this is accurate, but I picture you as being about 55, generally unhapppy, and really angry about Liberals, but unable to define what one is. I hope I'm wrong, and you're just a normal guy who is actually cool, but just comes across badly due to being generally humourless. |

James Tanner: Thanks A Lot, Darcey - James_Tanner
Please explain how it's a good thing to lose 14 times in OT.
If you use the old point system with 2 points for regulation win and 1 point for tie, then Colorado would have 85 points and Arizona would have 77 points.
If you use a 3 point system, then Colorado would have 123 points and Arizona would have 116 points. |

1. People who communicate with memes and gifs are embarrassing themselves and not worth talking to.
2. It's sad when someone tries to be condescending and is wrong.
3. Darcy (that's without the e for all you spell checking duds) Kuemper finished with a .925 save percentage, which is a top 50 all-time season for goalies who played over 50 games.
When will you people learn that I am never wrong? - James_Tanner

I think whoever finishes 17th should get the best odds at #1 and then 18th etc. to 31. Everyone would play to either make the playoffs or improve their draft position. No more tanking. |

Close. Except I'm 32, typically pretty happy, largely politically-indifferent, and I just enjoying mocking people with an inflated sense of self-worth and intelligence.
FYI: Bringing in politics where there was none previously discussed is literally no different than the angry 55 year old men you seem to have a complex about that respond to every "liberal" thing with some sort of right-leaning anger. You're no different than the person you assumed I was. |

Thanking who? 😜
Who cares about the stupid lottery anyway? What they need to address is a cap structure that takes taxes from all 31 NHL cities into consideration, the cap was suppose to make it an even playing field, it hasn't... fix it or scrap it |

Honest question considering the importance placed on character in the NHL = do you think this is a good thing because if you live in the higher taxed places, you are getting players whose prime consideration is guaranteed not to be money.
Conversely, you'll never accidently sign the kind of person who would work in any random place just to make an extra 500K over eight years when he's already a set-for-life millionaire. |

well the lottery is important, if you draft correctly that is...
That could be a big thing for Chicago as it was highly un-expected |

All players want money and we're not talking about half of a million over 8 years when in some cities a player loses as much as 18% of his salary to taxes and in others he pays no taxes at all |

It could but it only affects a handful of different teams once a year, the huge difference in taxes from one team to the next is a recurring problem year after year for the same teams |

I believe this is negligible and that studies have found that advantages in one place are offset by cheaper living costs or whatever. It's really considered more of a myth that any of this affects a player's choice/ |

A myth? Best example last summer, Max Pacioretty signed a 7 million dollar a year deal in tax free Vegas, where he'll collect the full amount, he would have had to sign for 10,2 million in Montreal to get 7 after taxes!!
Crap franchises like the one you blog for is the reason the cap was put in, along with revenue sharing for fan bases that are non existent, but it's ok for you to cry and moan about not getting a top pick? Who cares, a wasted talent in a city that doesn't give a crap...
Studies have found? Studies have also found that without the cap + revenue sharing, Mickey Mouse franchises would fold faster than you can say "Max Domi Rocks" |

Vegas also did the same trade and sign with Stone. He signed a 9.5 million dollar deal with the knights. For him to collect the same amount of money after taxes, in Ottawa, the deal would have had to carry a 13.5 million AAV. |

Or it allows Stamkos to walk away from $12+ in Toronto to sign for $8.5 in Tampa. Same after tax money but gives his team a better chance to win. Sounds like a guy with pretty decent character |
