got to cut the scrubs though
even if they are playing in rochester
scandella and sobotka should not wear the sabres uniform for another game IMO - homiedclown
I wish they traded Scandella as soon as we won Dahlin in the lottery. Sobotka is our 4th line C next year me thinks. Qualify Girgensons and Larsson just so you can trade them for late round picks and get something for them. |

Theyve been at that for awhile
For context i do think what they did with lahey after the poophawk took him away was fitting, and funny. But he is gone and it should be over |

Just wait. First it’s “I hate tanking” then it’s going to be people complaining “we can’t get past the 1st/2nd round of the playoffs”. - Pegullaville
I hate tanking.
If our GM is able to improve the team only through the entry draft, and we can't obain quality players other than by tanking, we're in a world of trouble.
Once we get into the first and second rounds of the playoffs, there will be non-draft methods to perfect the roster. |

Sure you can make trades, but then you’re depleting your prospect pipeline. Botts had to re-establish our pipeline cause we went nowhere and traded everything away. |

No but I’m sure we could of drafted high one more year and turned Roslovic, Armia, Myers, Compher, Zadorov, and a high 2nd rounder into more then what we got for them. Instead of A.Nylander we’d have one of Matthews/Laine/Dubois/Tkchuk.
Maybe we could of moved Myers/Risto for Hall if we had the RHD depth. |

Sabres should trade eichel, risto, the other 1st and another pick or two for mcdavid. He can play with reinhart
Sign skinner and find your stopgap second line center for him by signing pavelski on a 2 year deal.

sorry all I can think of was the josh allen pissing contest when you never even saw the pre season game - homiedclown
I did see it
Just wasn’t watching closely
And i did DVR it & watch eventually
Allen did (and still does) need a lot of work
And it’s not like Samuelsson’s college games are televised here
Gotta rely on reports from others |

There's talk that Joe P doesn't want to leave SJ.
I guess that should come as no surprise. |

Agreed. Letting Skinner walk would be a disaster for this club. 13 guys in the NHL scored 40 goals this year and we had one of them. I will admit that Tage's fancy toe drags have to worth at least 12 next year though |

Matthews nowhere to be found and the Leafs are up 3-1. Idk how you can compare Matthews and Eichel when one has to carry his team and the other is the 3rd best player on his. Must be nice to have that kind of depth. Just need to find an elite winger and another Eichel clone and then we’ll be good. |

That's just dumb. I'll take the last 18 years of the Blues over the last 18 years of the Blue Jackets every time and you're an idiot if you wouldn't. The Sabres have 5 series wins since the Blue Jackets came in. The Blue Jackets have 6 playoff wins period. Drafting high does not guarantee success. Especially now that you can't just lose your way to the best talent. |

Calgary went from missing the playoffs to first in the conference. Monahan and Matthew Tkachuk were top 7 selections. Bennett was the result of a losing season even though he didn’t pan out. Sure they got lucky with Gaudreau but they built their team by missing the playoffs.
Do I need to go through Winnipeg and Toronto’s roster to show you their average draft position ? Even Tampa has selected top 3 on three separate occasions in the last 10 years (Stammer, Hedman, Drouin) Pittsburgh and Chicago’s dynasties were built through tanking. |

Then we wouldn’t have Dahlin in your scenario. |

And it took 13 years for Ovechkin to win.
Calgary, Winnipeg, and Toronto have done precisely d¡ck.
How's Drouin doing for the Lightning? Stamkos was drafted 11 years ago, Hedman 10. And they still have nothing to their name.
What about Boston? How many 1st or 2nd overall picks do they have? I seem to remember them trading 3 of them and still winning, somehow. Sure Seguin was on the team, but he barely contributed, 22 points in the regular season and 7 in the playoffs. |

I might do that. His slump is concerning, but that’s the only reason they could consider moving him. |
