If JV could only score more he’d be a good 3rd wheel to shadow ops scorers. - Nighthawk
That’s a pretty sizeable if. |

That's total BS. No roll player made any room for Petey or Boeser to score goals. Quite the opposite. Those guys scored enough goals allowing the role players to slide in for their 10 minutes per night. You know who "protected" the kids? It was freaking Horvat whomplayed the tough minutes. - 1970vintage
Couldnt agree more. No more fricken role players. Spend money on talent. Get better at developing players. |

I don’t think he has the hockey sense to excel at anything. Hope I’m wrong. |

Grapes saying binnington should win Calder even tho he only played 30 games....
Why dont we look at 19 year old Elias petterson after his first 30 games.
Give me a freakin break its petey all the way. 66 in 71 is amazing |

Panarin is one serious player to go after.
Don’t grow on trees or come available often.
Cost no assets just money.
A game changer we sorely need. |

Who cares what Grapes has to say? EP plays after his bedtime.
That said, a legit argument for Bonnington could be made. |

I'd do panarin forsure if and it's a huge if we can toss out Ericksson eith a draft pick for an expiring deal cause brock is gonna get 7 plus
We need skill tho. Pearson is sad in a top 6 role. It's a reason were brutal cause hes a top 6 for us. Panarin would be wonderful with Bo. Trade up for byram as well. Jake Olli and our 1st? I'd do it but I'm nuts |

A 3rd wheel soldier that can fly. How to make him consistent & impact like he can is a big job. |

Cherry gets paid to spew controversial BS.
ESPN down in the states pays loudmouth “analysts” millions of dollars to say controversial things.
Crazy sells in the entertainment industry. |

Injury history will help the bucks but hes probably around nylander and the cap is going up so its gotta be nylander wage plus imo |

Hard to get and keep a decent core if you have to always trade for those players. That starts with bad drafting and not being proactive when an opportunity presents itself - manvanfan
I agree Benning has drafted poorly and not been proactive.

Again at what price? |

The way I see it, there’s 2 major groups amongst this fanbase.
Group 1 thinks that the team isn’t far off from being a perennial playoff team and being a contender in 2-3 years is possible. They want Benning to be aggressive with trades/signings, etc to upgrade this roster.
Group 2 thinks the team is still just in the early stages of rebuilding, they don’t want any more 3+ year UFA contracts and would like to see Benning be patient. Maybe even take on a bad contract or 2 from other teams with the cap space freed up this summer.
Then there’s a smaller group of fans who seem to have a foot in each column. |

They basically need everything but it won’t be a scenario where they trade it for a package of role players. Quality for quality. |

Group 2 forsure. But if you can add skill via free agency do it. It makes us better. By skill I mean 27ish year old skill. If not draft and for the love of goodness pay more attention to the farm team and start to develop players |
