Poor comparison player when you look at what Marchand & Gaudreau & Pastrnak get - Nighthawk
They signed their deals before and the cap is going up. Players get paid on cap percentages. Hes ginna be around 8 man.
You think Bo would get 5.5 again? Hed get 7.5 ish same as brock. |

The way I see it, there’s 2 major groups amongst this fanbase.
Group 1 thinks that the team isn’t far off from being a perennial playoff team and being a contender in 2-3 years is possible. They want Benning to be aggressive with trades/signings, etc to upgrade this roster.
Group 2 thinks the team is still just in the early stages of rebuilding, they don’t want any more 3+ year UFA contracts and would like to see Benning be patient. Maybe even take on a bad contract or 2 from other teams with the cap space freed up this summer.
Then there’s a smaller group of fans who seem to have a foot in each column. - Nucker101
I’m in the last example but always want the legit big fish when possible. No hurry to make the PO’s or cup contend. All about getting elite talent anytime we can get it & let the cards fall where they may. |

Group 2 forsure. But if you can add skill via free agency do it. It makes us better. By skill I mean 27ish year old skill. If not draft and for the love of goodness pay more attention to the farm team and start to develop players - Jkuzzi
Skill in UFA usually means 3+ year contracts so I’d say you’re in “group 3” which is stay patient unless we can sign or trade for “Player X, Y or Z” |

Fox and Panarin aren’t coming here. - CanuckDon
Panarin and Bob to Florida seems to be the popular guess. The Rags also get mentioned for Panarin. |

Panarin is one serious player to go after.
Don’t grow on trees or come available often.
Cost no assets just money.
A game changer we sorely need. - Nighthawk
Yep. He said he liked it here and wanted to be on the coastline. Hopefully he'd come on for 6m.
But I've read online the hawks are gonna pull out all the stops to get him back.
Fingers crossed |

Other than goals Brock hasn’t done anything to get more than $6.5m. As for Bo & the others i mentioned they were signed under value back then. |
|
|
|
The over under on Brock is going to be 7.5.
I love how some of the guys who refuse to acknowledge even thinking about moving him cant see that. Hes going to be a big freakin ticket. |

Benning, he can’t afford to be patient with his current contract status.
Casual fans too. Which sadly makes up the large majority of this fanbase. |

A 3rd wheel soldier that can fly. How to make him consistent & impact like he can is a big job. - Nighthawk
He's looked his best when on the the rush but we don't have many playmakers who play with speed. Hughes hopefully will help but unless he plays with petey my guess is we see more of the same.
I like Jake as a player even if I didn't like the pick but think that they would best off moving him while he still has some high draft pick cache. |

Can we offer panarin two years at $25 million per and an Aquilini penthouse? The bread man wouldn’t come here even if Aquilini offered him an ownership stake in the team. God damn draft and develop please |
