Look, I'm about as big of a Shea Weber fan as they come, but one of the 6 best defensemen in Habs' history? Maybe if he'd spent his entire career there, then yeah, and same for Subban. No way should they be above Markov, Chelios, Desjardins, and maybe ever Brisebois.

I take Weber over Desjardins all day long. Desjardins doesn't make the top 6...and he didn't play his whole career there either..or Chelios.

Whatever. Next thing, you'll be telling me that Uwe Krupp has ever scored a goal of significance.

No, but Desjardins and Chelios were both part of Cup-winning team, and Desjardins has some huge goals in the Finals.

If I'm given 25-year-old Weber over 25-year-old Desjardins, yeah, I'll take Weber. But if I look at their careers based solely on their Montreal days to date, I think those 2 were better than Weber has been, again, to date.

The big 3, Harvey and Markov are set in stone... the 6th D is a toss up... anybody but Brisebois

I was wondering why we had not seen Howard today, then I noticed that Patrice Brisebois has been mentionned for 3 pages straight.

Never quite recovered from losing Brisebois to free agency 12 years ago, one of the all time greats
