That's because the refs were afraid of an errant Pronger elbow to their face.

Same with Patrice Brisebois.

Reg season Boston was #2 in Penalty minutes taken 797
the Leafs were dead last with 503

I know its just 1 game, but Boston got 2 PP to the Leafs 1

I think if they keep the penalty mins low like that it benefits the Leafs in the series. the Leafs can carry the play at 5v5 with the 3 lines vs Bostons top 3

Problem is, I dont see that happening. they just dont call the games properly most of the time. they just try to keep the PIM even'ish and ignore a lot of poop if its going to give one team an advantage, which based on the Reg season that would be the Leafs

Zebras need time to adjust and decide on how they're going to call a series. Took them until game 3 before they decided to put away the whistles and let them play, conveniently after Kadri's suspension.

Just play like you did last night. That second high stick was soft as slime (what a joke; nice alliteration), Kappy just barely scraped his shoulder pads; I doubt they call that again.

But it's the same old story: if you're going to call every little stick infraction, you gotta call the same against Chara's lumbering: the Big Slab of Melted Ice Cream had one shift in his own end where he whacked 3 players and cross-checked Moore in front of the crease twice and zero call.

Great road win for the Leafs. They played well and deserved it. On a side note I got the feeling that the crew of TSN and Sportsnet had wet their pants because they were so happy.

Excellent job by Babcock last night. Got the team ready and the system played to perfection. Fortunate to have a coach like Mike

Was definitely pleasantly surprised. Have to give credit, but the big test is still coming. Cassidy and the Bruins will make adjustments, can the Leafs maintain that level of play and make their own adjustments as the series progresses. Can't wait to find out.

Only need 3 more games.
